Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
I actually solved my own problem. The wifi had a WPA2 security protocol I changed it back to WPA and it works fine again. I changed wifi router some months ago and did not put it back on the hiby until today. Sorry for "polluting" the thread.- Alcarinquei

Sports IEM suggestions (Running/Fitness/Cycling)
I bought the R4. Still don't exactly know what do think. They are not super comfortable but they don't move while running, no need to push them back or anything. I can't hear the sound of the cables. Bluetooth is actually very practical but sometimes the sound stutters and in comparison to my...- Alcarinquei

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
Hello, I cannot connect my Hiby R3 to my home wifi. It can connect to the wifi created by my phone though. I installed the latest update but it did not change anything. Any idea on how to solve this problem? Is there a post about that? Thanks- Alcarinquei

Sports IEM suggestions (Running/Fitness/Cycling)
Are you still happy with it? Is the build quality good enough? Comfortable? I am looking for wired bluetooth earphones for running (indoor and outdoor), I was thinking to get the jaybird X4. I can get them for 100chf, the tarah pro are 165. Same as you said, comfort is most important. I don't...- Alcarinquei

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
I tried to pack the mojo in an aluminium foil, which supposedly cut radiosignal with not much difference. I don't think the leather case gonna make any difference either, because the RF comes from the cables. In my case, mostly earphone cable. I think you should better try with different cables...- Alcarinquei

But the RF actually only happens when the mojo is stacked with the R3, if they are in parallel, or even with the top of the R3 not touching the mojo, I have never had any problem. No need for longer cable. Streaming DLNA or directly with tidal. Another thing is that the RF comes from the cables...- Alcarinquei

Fake flac identification
Is it possible to learn that stuff somewhere? I had some doubts about files that could have been upsampled and indeed they were, if lossless audio checker is correct but then I tried some other files, which looked legit, but come out as upsampled. One album, does not though, which is weird... I...- Alcarinquei

I boought a cable from peno audio (usb-c to micro-usb silver) I had the impressions that it helped with EMI but I think the headphone or IEM cables pick-up the most of EMI so while I have the impressions that it did improve something, it isn't perfect at all. Make sure that you have a good...- Alcarinquei

Yes, Mojo has a tendency to put background slightly forward. It does it very well and brings details that one would otherwise not hear. I remember being amazed to suddenly hear two voices in a song that I always heard as having one only, etc. But, I also use mojo to watch movie, and I noticed...- Alcarinquei

Custom Art FIBAE Black Announcement
Oh, that's great!!! I am having an eye on the black since january (like you know, just to miss the pre-order special price :p) Might as well enjoy to wait a bit more and have comparison with fibae 4. And thank you guys for reviews! Just this volume question. I did not quite get it. The black...- Alcarinquei

flinkenick's 17 Flagship IEM Shootout Thread (and general high-end portable audio discussion)
I tried the Phantom with Mojo, and they sounded very slow and there is definitely a hiss. It was ok with jazz or classical (orchestra sounded great) but switching to some Led Zeppelin for example, it was waay to slow. Tried it as well with Hiby R6, balanced, and things were back in order. Any...- Alcarinquei

-It does show a white light when DSD is set on native with USB, even though I would recommend to use coaxial. -Most likely no problem but I just tried Mojo. -Wifi is very useful to stream DLNA with MConnect for example or to use Tidal.- Alcarinquei

I think it is a great idea to flood Tidal to make them move their ass! I also got this message and then another answer from a "technician". I was asking about offline mqa on Hiby R3 and in general a way to transmit bit perfect data coming from tidal offline. The answer I received what that the...- Alcarinquei

I use mine with those kinda bag (banana bag?) It's very practical and better than pockets. Never had any problems. Next step is using the 3D printed design (@surfgeorge ) with Hiby R3 and control what's playing with Bluetooth.- Alcarinquei

It's a streaming platform from Taiwan, with lots of asian pop. One of the few streaming platform to actually make money, if I am not mistaken. Prices aren't that expensive but it is not available in Europe and America.- Alcarinquei

There is play store on the R6 right? Did anyone test a VPN on the device? I would use it to download some kkbox offline. I wonder if the R6 with tidal and kkbox offline, worth it compared to the R3 as (mostly) a transporter to mojo.- Alcarinquei

Best dap for streaming services in offline mode
Yea. I was trying with HiBy app on an older phone (samsung note 3) to have the possibility to control via bluetooth but the app makes cracking noise, I don't know why, could it be because the OS is too old? (android 5.0). UAPP works fine. But I really dislike UAPP integration of tidal, and I...- Alcarinquei
