Reply to review by 'kpet82' on item 'beyerdynamic T1 3rd Generation'
I listen to a lot of Tool, Neurosis and a lot of post rock. Some of the albums are not that well recorded (while some are!). To say the least. Would you still recommend these headphones? thanks!- kpet82

I don't know what you mean by "all rounder" but I think it's a damn fine headphone for guitarr based genres. I have listened to some classical with them. There are better for that. And there are better for EDM and stuff. However, rock, jazz, accustic, metal and blues sound really great. Also...- kpet82

Review by 'kpet82' on item 'Audeze LCD-X'
This is not really a review. It is more of a praise of the LCD-X if you like rock/metal and have the funds to get it. Some facts about me and my relationship to headphones: - I used to own the Hifiman Sundara, Audeze LCD-2.2, Sennheiser HD660S, Audioquest Nighthawk and Nightowl. And a lot of...- kpet82

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
I think your analysis regarding bass is spot on. However, the treble is unbareble for me. It is very shouty. It's not that it is to bright, and I´m no audiophile, but the presence region makes it completly unlistenable for me. Thats a shame, because I generally love the Audeze headphones.- kpet82

AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
I have them, and enjoy them both. If I want to relax at home with some jazz or mellow music, I use the NO. For metal and rock i use the Px. I think both are warm sounding (the Px more so) and have recessed treble. The Px hits harder because of the high bass/low mid bump. The NO is a better...- kpet82

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
The mobius is way more shouty. Less relaxing. Way better bass on the mobius. But I sold my mobius. I prefer the b&w px over the xm3 though.- kpet82

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
A second impression. I let them play the whole night and I must say thay sound quite alright today. They are less boomy and shouty. Much more smooth. I would not consider them bright, but still a bit shouty. The bass is perfect for some good old rock'n'roll for which i basically bought them for...- kpet82

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
So, I just got them. I have to say I am not impressed at all. They are shouty and boomy. I wonder if they improve with some burn-in. I have watched a movie with them as well. I think the sound for that was great. However, they are super uncomfortable. And the hiss. It annoys the hell out of me...- kpet82

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
I will get a pair tomorrow but I am worried about the treble. Are they overly bright? Can’t stand sibilance. Are they fatiguing? I will mainly use them as BT-headphones with music. What genres do they play well? thanks!- kpet82

Buying Advice - Warmer than the PM-3 and HA-2 Combo
I actually "downgraded" to sennheiser HD1 (wired) from PM-3. To me the HD1 sound way more musical and enjoyable.- kpet82

Sundara alternatives?
You should consider the DT-1990 or Shure 1840. However, I think the Sundara is much more enjoyable than these two.- kpet82

Review by 'kpet82' on item 'HIFIMAN SUNDARA'
First off- I pair the Sundara with the mighty Chord Mojo. I find the sound signature to be balanced with no signs of sibilance or fatiguing highs. The lows are punchy and fast. The mids are very neutral to my ears. Vocals are neither forward nor recessed. Highs are perfect for my taste. Usually...- kpet82
