Anybody know how the bass adjustment knob works? Is it mechanically or electrically? Or is it something to do with the acoustic wave guide (extend/shorten the wave guide) ?

I've just found the IEM of my life (at the moment)! it's the Sennheiser IE8 the sound signature just suits me, the warmth, soft high, nice bass.

I've heard that the Bass will be better and better (softer and tighter) after several hundreds hours of burning, how many average hours (for the IE8) does it take to (almost complete) the burning process?

Try SE530, it's like 270$ on Amazon. I personally liked the IE8, because of its warmth tone & soft high. SE420 is not that "Awesome"
