Updated: Headband Repair Help
Thanks a lot. I’ve started bending and so far so good. Thanks a lot. The sound is certainly impacted by the lack of cushion compression. Enjoy the 600s.- Notanaudiophile85

I think that might be my best bet. I’m assuming it’s metal since V-Moda is known for their durability. I guess I’ll find out. Any tips or suggestions on bending the headband. I’m guessing using a hammer is a bad idea.- Notanaudiophile85

They recommended the Immortal Program upgrade. It sounds like a good deal but I just don’t have the money to upgrade right now.- Notanaudiophile85

Thanks. Yeah. I contacted them. They told me they couldn’t help with repairs or replacement parts. They suggested I trade mine in and pay more money to upgrade. I think it’s the immortal program. It seems like a good deal. I just don’t have the money to upgrade right now.- Notanaudiophile85

Updated: Headband Repair Help
I bought used V-Moda Crossfades and the headband is so misshapen that I don’t use them. I thought it was the sound of the phones that I didn’t like until I tried a display model in a store not long ago. It turns out, I enjoy the sound when they fit properly. I should mention that the headband is...- Notanaudiophile85

Tips for Magaosi MGS-BK50?
I recently acquired Magaosi MGS-BK50 IEMs. It the first pair of IEMs I’ve owned. I’m surprised how much I like the sound. I find the tips that came with the the BK50s uncomfortable. I’d prefer a softer silicone tip and I’m interested in trying foam tips. Can someone tell me what tips fit the...- Notanaudiophile85

Head-FI Opinion: Sennheiser
If I knew what I know now, i think I would have purchased the 650s. I didn’t realized the 600 series was that well regarded. I wanted something that had the sound of a nicer pair of headphones but also emphasized the bass. They are almost exactly what I was looking for. They are pretty large for...- Notanaudiophile85

Head-FI Opinion: Sennheiser
I own a pair of the 630vb and I find them to be really enjoyable. I can’t say I’ve ever seen the 630vb discussed or described anywhere except for when I search for them specifically, but even then the content is minimal. I’ve never met another person that’s owned a pair. I haven’t seen anyone...- Notanaudiophile85

Upgraded to HD1 Yesterday
Overall, the HD1s are comfortable for me. They are also the first pair of over-ear headphones I ever purchased. prior to that I owned on-ears and used them for years. So even though the HD1 cups didn't encase my entire ear, they covered more of the ear than the on-ears I previously owned. It...- Notanaudiophile85

Sennheiser HD 630VB Alternatives?
I purchased a pair of the HD 630VB phones awhile back. I use them on a daily basis with a Mojo. I really enjoy the sound, especially the weight of the bass. The main reason I selected the 630VB was for the heavier bass. That said, they are heavy and become uncomfortable to wear after about 30...- Notanaudiophile85

Sorry about the delay. I thought I had responded a day or two ago. Regardless, things have changed since then. I ran into quite a few small hurdles before I had the opportunity to listen to Hi-Res Flac. After some patience and trouble shooting, I was finally able listen to The Last Waltz in...- Notanaudiophile85

Sennheiser HD1 Over-Ear Review
Great post! I couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m glad you’re enjoying the HD1s. Thanks for the custom EQs btw. I can’t wait to give them a go. -

Haha. This is certainly a lot to absorb but it’s making sense. About the Amp/DAC; I’ve researched them quite a bit and actually purchased the Dragonfly Red, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ended up purchasing a pair of HP (open box) from the same store on a whim and wasn’t pleased with them. Last...- Notanaudiophile85

This is exactly the type of explanation I’ve been looking for. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this and break it down the way you did. Thanks so much! I’ll definitely give this a try. Sorry for all the questions, but from where do you purchase your music? I’ve never purchased Hi-Res audio. Also, my portable device is an iPhone so it’s my understanding that I would need a different app to listen to FLAC files. Do you have a...- Notanaudiophile85

This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing. It makes sense that customizing the EQ would have a substantial impact on the quality of sound, given that it is subjective. Do you recommend any EQ apps? I have EQu but haven’t fooled with it for awhile tbh. I mainly stream using Tidal, so if I...- Notanaudiophile85

Thanks for the response. This interest in HPs and music quality is new to me, so I have little experience with HPs. I agree with everything you said about the M50x. As far as the HD1 go, I’m really satisfied with the performance I get by streaming Tidal and just plugging them in. In a perfect...- Notanaudiophile85

Oppo HA2 SE Advice?
I know it’s been awhile since this post, but I ended up getting the Dragonfly Red and then bought a pair of Sony MDR1A. I thought the bass sounded better with the Sonys. Oppo HA2 SE Advice?
I have a lot of learning to do and would appreciate your advice. I use my iPhone SE as my listening source and a pair of Sennheiser HD1 headphones. I listen to various genres on Spotify Premium. Upgraded to HD1 Yesterday
I purchased a pair of M50x over a month ago. While I appreciated the quality of sound for the price I paid ($150), I wasn’t wowed by them. I’ve found it to be challenging to purchase an item so subjective without having the ability to try them out first. My choice of headphone depended heavily...- Notanaudiophile85
