Just to clarify again, I have the Mic plugged into the X2's cable port (the X2's cable is completely unused here) I then connect the end of the mic volume box into the Y Splitter that came with it and then I connect the headphone jack into the headphone port and the mic jack into the mic port...

I'm still none the wiser I'm afraid. Either I don't connect the headphone or I don't connect the Mic. I don't seem to have figured out how to connect both.

I'm using the splitter yeah. I've no idea if I've got each bit in the right place though, I'm sure it's immediately obvious how it all fits together properly but I'm at a loss and a lack of manual doesn't help. How should it be connected? Am I able to use the headphones own cable?

These don't look to be sold in the UK. I've been looking at sennheiser own gaming headset's, specifically the zero and the one. Will either of those be a good fit for the gsx? I've also seen sennheiser do a 7.1 headset which oddly costs less than the one or zero, but I'm assuming that a headset...

Can anyone recommend a headset to go with this? I currently use an astro a50 for gaming and chat. If I disable the headset's virtual 7.1 would I get an improved sense of it through this?
