FWIW: For me it would be similar characteristics for GH2 vs RS1x, the latter being somewhat more detailed (haven’t heard the RS2x though)

And probably just as poisonous as all the other woods 😂

Many thanks for explaining your "secret weapon". I have been in doubt as to the optimal of my "implementation" of tubes. I decided to upgrade the stock tubes of my ifi Pro IDSD dac (in stead of upgrading the Pro iCAN) to make the tube-hybrid more versatile, that is the tubes in the dac could...

+1 couldn't agree more: mine have turned beautifully and evenly dark brown. Not worried about stains anymore :darthsmile: Looks now like they probably should have been from the start....sounds still top notch though....

FWIW: I still love my H95 and haven't looked elsewhere for SQ increments (for ANC you may prefer the Sony's or Bose).

+1 The GS2ke have had little appreciation on this thread. However, I do like them with acoustic jaz etc. Also I use them with ifi Pro iCan where the Xbass adds just the extra oomph if/when needed. So I agree with the recommendation (disclaimer: while having several Grados, I do not own the...

FWIW;: As far I can see, there's no B&O on the list :) But maybe there should be, I still do love mine, so if they are reasonably priced and you're not going for ANC, then the B&O EX sounds really great....

Have you tried different tips? Comply foams do sound different and are good for optimal ANC (prefer those for the Sony stock)

FWIW: I think the point many are trying to convey is that a part of this affection to Grados can better grow and flourish, if you start with one of the cheaper and readily available models. Then you'll find out how the basic sound is - and if you want to go further down this one way street...
