What to pick for movies/games/crappy sources?
I would go with the DT990 or DT880. They might just be the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried, and also have very good sound.- SiSkEr

Which is the better goal to pursue for listening to music: Open back with the best bass possible or closed back with the best soundstage possible?
IMO then you should go for open back with the best bass. As TwelveTrains said, try the dt990's they have some pretty good bass for openback headphones. If you have amazon prime you could also try to just order a pair of openback with best possible bass and closed back with best possible...- SiSkEr

Getting Fed up: Can you help with Headphones ?
Hi there Do you have an amp for your headphones? Otherwise, you might be better off with some headphones with a lower impedance, or a cheaper pair with an amp. Have you tried looking at the DT990?- SiSkEr

Looking for a recommendation for a new pair of IEM's
Ah well, then you might want to go for something better than the M6 pro's, i use them as i use my IEM's on my bike everyday in all weather, so they have a tendency to brake.- SiSkEr

Future-proof DAC + AMP combo under $300
Sounds good. The nice thing about buying it separately is that if you decide to upgrade your amp you still have the DAC. I also believe that the schiit stack has an (ever so small) edge over the O2/ODAC. The modi2u is powered, where the non-uber version is power over usb. Some will argue...- SiSkEr

Future-proof DAC + AMP combo under $300
Hi there! Have you considered the modi2u/magni2u schiit stack? That would be right about $300 and have the power to drive anything it would make sense to drive with a $300 setup. The magn2u has RCA output so you could just use it as a preamp for any set of powered monitors. That way you...- SiSkEr

Should I get an amp?
It is not uncommon to pay more for your DAC/AMP than for your headphones. A course analogy could be to think about it like a computer. You might only experience what the monitor shows you, but it is still very much depending on the pc behind it. That being said you might be able to find...- SiSkEr
