I bought a 3m long, small jack cable. It is made of a orange see through rubberlike coating. It's not as flexible as the standard headphone cables but it works. I think this cable is suitable for the other HD5xx (HD598, HD559) series aswell because it has the same connector that goes in the...

Thanks. It's not a very popular headphone, I guess.   The comfort is better than the Sennheiser HD280, Audio Technica M50x, Beyerdynamic DT770 pro but not as good as the Sennheiser HD580.

Review by 'koprol' on item 'Sennheiser HD 569 Closed Back Headphone'

This is a very nice headphone. Comfort is good and the sound quality is good and balanced.   I compared the Sennheiser HD569 with the Beyerdynamic DT770 pro and the Sennheiser won because it has the oval shaped earcups. The earcups are big and oval so they don't touch my ears anywhere which...

Specific quest for sound and comfort

So now I have made a decision after listening to the dt770 and hd569 on my x-cans v1. The sound isn't very much different but after some long time wearing both cans the dt770 start to irritate. The "problem" is the shape of the dt770 which is round and the top and bottom of my ears touch the...

Specific quest for sound and comfort

I bought the Sennheiser hd569 and Beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80 Ohm. These headphones I will review and send at least one back. It is otherwise quite impossible to test these cans side by side.   So far, after a few days I am starting to like the Beyerdynamic a bit more that the hd569 because...

Specific quest for sound and comfort

My shortlist is: Sennheiser hd569 AKG k271 mkII Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80 ohm     Off the shortlist: Sennheiser hd280 PRO -The fit on my skin is the problem. The sound was very good, flat respons, I like that.   AKG K92 -I haven't listened to them but these have fake leather too and...

My new headphones will be used with macbook and iphone so if I need an amp, that's a no-go.

The Beyerdynamic dt770. I can look into that one.   I don't want an headphone that has to be tweaked right out of the box. How hard can it be to have a headphone that is just right? (I'm likely to eat my own words in a couple of months...)

Specific quest for sound and comfort

Yes, indeed/ Now Trump is there, everything is possible.   But the 598 is not available anymore, the 598cs is and costs 230+ euro. So it is quite a lot more than the Audio technica m50x.   Is the cheaper Sennheiser 569 closed back headphone any good? It's the same size of the 598 I think...

$115 for the old of new version??? Over here it's at least 230 euro (more than $230). Sometimes it sucks to be in Europe...   But the 598 is an open headphone? The 598 cs is a closed one?

I'm so stupid. I meant that it must be a closed back headphone. The 598 cs is closed, right? Is the size of the 598 comparable with the sd580 and sd650?

Specific quest for sound and comfort

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I need over ear headphones so my ears do not (or as little as possible) touch the headphone cushions. The B&W p5 is on ear. I tried the P5 at a show and before hearing the thing, it was already a no-go.   The Sennheiser Momentum might be a good one but it is...

Specific quest for sound and comfort

Hi,   Not new to the site but new member.   I have a Sennheiser hd-580 for some 15 odd years now. I want a closed headphone (4 kids in the same house while I have to work) and sought the internet. I bought the Audio technica M50x last week but I'm going to return it. The sound I like very...
