Can anyone share some equalizer apo presets? I'm mainly concerned about treble spikes as they can be too grating sometimes.- Teraflame

2.0 Speakers Compilation: Best for <$500
They're neutral and excel at detail without being harsh. Imaging is great and the waveguide is especially amazing at making a wide sweet spot. No other speaker has that in this price range, powered or not. You can try them out if you have a guitar center nearby. this is a decent review for...- Teraflame

You are not going to find anything close to the quality of LSR305 for $300, especially if you go passive and need a separate amp.- Teraflame

2.0 Speakers Compilation: Best for <$500
They're monitors so made to have great clarity and soundstage. Very neutral and the bass is not muddy, very tight. The trim controls on the back are +/-2dB so not much difference. Honestly they quite easily blow away all headphones I've heard under $500.- Teraflame

Consider LSR305 or 308, they sound fantastic. Flat, cheap, and has a waveguide that makes a huge sweet spot.- Teraflame

pencil fi?
Is there a quality difference between Mitsubishi Hi-uni pencils and their 2mm uni leads? Because the leads are quite a bit cheaper and I don't need to smell that cedar.- Teraflame

Android-fi!
I got my galaxy S3 a couple weeks ago but the audio quality is terrible. Whenever I play music I hear random noise, its never clear. Especially apparent in lower volumes. Is something wrong with mine or do all S3s suffer this?- Teraflame

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
I'm not very happy with my DT880 250ohms. Too much treble for me even with using EQ. So I'm looking for a similarly priced headphone (<$300) that has good mids and bass that isn't fatiguing with the highs.- Teraflame

BeyerDynamic owners unite...
I've had DT880 250 ohms with the magni/modi for a few days now. The treble is just too much. I listen to a lot of female singers and rather than sounding pleasant they are grating. Is this possible to fix with EQ (never messed with it) or get another amp?- Teraflame
