Very small IEMs for small ears?
I'm not necessarily looking for anything immediately. Between my Moondrop SSP and Ety ER3SE, plus my full size HD6XX and HE4XX, I feel pretty well covered right now. I just want to be aware of the options so that I can research and possibly buy at some point in the future. I'd consider anything...- Tompie913

Very small IEMs for small ears?
I've been trying out a number of IEMs and am finding that most do not fit my ears very well. They tend to either have a shell that hits against my outer ear, quickly becoming uncomfortable, or too shallow insertion depth for which I can't seem to find any tip size that works, or usually both...- Tompie913

2nd Headphone Amp - Massdrop CTH, Archel 2, Atom, or other?
So I dipped my toes into the discrete headphone amp waters earlier this year when the Bravo V3 was on sale for $45. I actually really enjoyed the sound I got from it, but there was also an annoying whine that I couldn't eliminate. Prior to that, I hadn't felt the need for an amp because my...- Tompie913

Anyone know about the K550 MkIII?
So I was browsing Amazon and I came across the K550 MkIII. Looked on AKG's site and as far as I can tell it's the MkII with a detachable cable. Specs listed are all the same as the K553 (which is the same as the MkII to my knowledge). Does anyone know if there are any other differences? Anyone...- Tompie913

HiFiMan HE4XX
I've been considering getting in on this, but I'm wondering how much of an upgrade it will be compared to my K550 MkIIs. I also highly value isolation and soundstage. Obviously these have no isolation, and from what I've read planar magnetics don't have great soundstage - I suspect it's less...- Tompie913

Same headphone, different sound? (AKG K550 MkII)
I ordered an AKG K550 MkII a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it. However, one of the earcups clicked a bit when adjusted, which I found annoying in an otherwise perfect headphone. So I got an RMA from Amazon and decided to order a second pair in the meantime to use before I sent back the first...- Tompie913

Differences between AKG K550, K550 MkII and K553 Pro
I did link to that in my original post. My problem is that the other review I linked disagreed, going very thoroughly into the driver differences between the K550 MkI and the K553. Anyway, I found the K550 MkII for under $100 so I sprang for it.- Tompie913

Differences between AKG K550, K550 MkII and K553 Pro
For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out what the difference is between these three headphones and why I shouldn't just buy the cheapest of the three (K550 MkII). First of all, I have seen the other threads here on this topic. There is Bagheera's comparison of the K550 MkI and the...- Tompie913

The Mystery of Pressure on the Earcup Creating Volume Differences
I have a pair of Griffin Woodtones, which have been great for the most part. But tonight I put them on and noticed that the left ear seemed a bit quiet. And now I've noticed that when I push on the left earcup when it's on my head, I hear a click and the left driver gets even quieter. Then I...- Tompie913

New Member Introductions thread
Hi guys, I've read Head Fi for some time, but have only now registered (admittedly because I need help lol). I use a pair of Panasonic HTX7s and have a pair of Sony MDR V6s for use with my guitar amp, and most recently had to jump on some Griffin Woodtones because they were on sale. ...- Tompie913
