I own DX220 with AMP9 and N6ii/E01. I also tested AMP7 and AMP8, and currently waiting for AMP8 EX. Both are very good DAP's, and hard to choose. If i have to choose one DAP, i will say N6ii/E01.

Cayin i5 Lossless Android DAP with AKM4490 DAC supporting 32/384 PCM + 64/128 DSD

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes you are right. I also feel the mids of QP2R and N6ii is highlighted, i5 and DX220 is both dry and is my taste. I think i5 is dry than DX220.

Cayin i5 Lossless Android DAP with AKM4490 DAC supporting 32/384 PCM + 64/128 DSD

DT 1770 PRO and Cayin i5 was my best pair. Recentley I purchased DX220, but I still can't sell my i5. i5 has enough power to drive 1770 and they match to any kind of jenre. QP2R is a good DAP too, but too warm for me. N6ii too. DX220 is warmer than i5 but not too much. also the sound signature...

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

it was 130 - 135 high gain. AMP9 isn't powerful than AMP1 MKII, but is enough to drive N5005.

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

I haven't heard IT04 yet, but own N5005 and DX220. I also demoed AMP9 for 1 week, and thought that DX229 and N5005 is very good. AMP1 MKII is good as AMP9 and matches well with N5005, so i decided to enjoy AMP1 MKII and purchase AMP9 when i feel i want another taste.

N6ii is very close to DX221mk2, but DX221mk2 was a bit better.

Yes. many of us is comparing N6ii with DX220 and it's a hard choice. N6ii wasn't my taste but i still think it's good as DX220. i'm looking forward for the next audio motherboard. Phantom is quite expensive but i can easily imagine it sounds good with DX220.

Hi All, My DX220 arrived last saturday and i'm very happy with this DAP. i have Cayin i5 DAP and OPUS #3 and i love them both, but i was finding a better sounding DAP with new Android version. i demoed Cayin N6ii and DX220 for 2 weeks. i wrote my impressions on the Cayin N6ii thread, but N6ii...

Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Thank you too. i5 and OPUS #3 is my main DAP right now, and I think OPUS #3 is more airy than i5.

Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Thanks for comment. Yes, you are correct. I chose some words from the glossary to describing sound. For example, comparing N6ii and i5, the words i chose means that "N6ii is more Aggressive than i5". It doesn't mean "N6ii is not natural". N6ii = Aggressive, Fat, Forward, Lush, Rich, Round...

Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Hi, I'm the one that wrote the review in Japanese. I think that maira -san understands what i want to say. I had a chance to demo N6ii two times. The first chance was at Headphone Festival at Tokyo. The second chance was from 10th May to 16th May, that Japan's local seller gave me a chance to...

Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Wow!! As an i5 DAP user, I am very impressed how quick and smooth N6ii reacts. I use an app to sync with iTunes and play music files so I prefer the UI of N6ii. On i5 DAP it takes a few steps to run my apps but on N6ii, it seems that I could easily run any apps. I am looking forward to demo N6ii...

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

Yes I purchased clear force in Japan. I could find some models in amazon.com but I can't find the mini 3pin XLR model. The seller seems to be "Newsbridge storefront", so I suggest you to ask if they can sell mini 3pin xlr model.(https://www.orb.co.jp/audio/products/minixlr.html)...

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

Hi I am using DT 1770 PRO for 3 years and I love it. I use ORB Clear force and FURUTECH iHP-35X II. Clear force is a better cable for me. It took me about 50 hours to burn in, but 1770 sounded good from the time I opened the box. Recently I started using YAXI pads for K240SE. The sound doesn't...

    Acoustune HS1501 AL / HS1551 CU

The midrange of HS1650 CU was very close to HS1551. "sweet, rich, smooth, liquid, full-bodied" is a great word to describe Acoustune's sound and HS1650 had that midrange too. For my ears HS1650 sounded more neutral and less midrange. I haven't heard HE-500. My favorite Headphone is DT 1770 PRO...

    Acoustune HS1501 AL / HS1551 CU

I heard HS1650 CU and HS1670 SS at Portable Audio Festival at Tokyo. I like HS1550 CU too, but I prefer more tight basses and more bright highs. I had a chance to hear the prototype of HS1650 and HS1670 at Headphone Festival April 2018. In April, prototype of HS1650 sounded best for Me. More...

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player

Hi, I am a Cayin i5 user, and a Mac Book Pro user. I synchronise my iTunes library using a software "iSyncr". I had the same problem with You because I was using iPhone to listen to music. OPUS#3 Hi-Res Audio player w/wifi and streaming

I own Cayin i5 and OPUS #3. I have demoed OPUS #1 for 1 month and tried Cayin N5ii for an hour which My friend owns. Cayin N5ii is a very good product but IMO OPUS #3 is good also. Because they have different characters, I won't say N5ii beats OPUS #3. But I think N5ii is good enough to compare...
