It is somewhat the characteristic of the DX300 in general that of playing a little precise and dry, but perhaps not very exciting. But this gives you more freedom with the choice of IEMs. In my opinion it is better to work for compensation, choosing headphones with a fatter and more dynamic sound.

Excellent, it works well with both the USB and 3.5mm outputs. I preferred the latter because so, with the usb free, I could reload the DAP if needed. In any case, the audio quality was excellent and for me indistinguishable between the two connections.
