    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

I had to change cables because I dropped it again after I tripped the cable, luckily again there's no damage. I switched to a much thinner cable. I must say that the cable is the only flaw I found.

Are there photos / examples of a pair with damaged liquid wood housing in this thread?

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

I didn't see any damage on the liquid wood housing of the earcups, nor any dent (there wasn't a loud enough sound when it dropped, probably because I held the cable with some force when it dropped to the floor). I'll make sure to be 200% more careful from now on urgh. These cans really sound...

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

I just dropped my Nightowl! Should I be worried? How durable is the Nightowl? There's no noticeable sound difference so far.

    Bose QC35 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Just got these for SGD329 (around USD240) brand new, Series I White. Gotta say they're pretty good for commuting! The emphasized bass is what I need exactly during commute. My ears do sometimes get hot (I live in a country near the equator, its constantly summer). They're pretty lightweight...

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

I also prefer the comfort of the leather too. However, surprisingly I liked the sound of NO out of the box (didnt need any adjustment from me). Perhaps I just haven't tried enough headphones out there I guess :p

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

I'll definitely give the Ultrasuede pads a try later! I'll just sink myself in to these cans now while coding away  Can't emphasize it more, couldn't be more satisfied with these cans. Comfort is absurd. Non fatiguing sound, soundstage, imaging, separation all on point. FeelsGoodMan

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

@waveSounds yeah I agree the self adjusting headband is just absolute genius. I feel little to no clamp force between my head. I did read up a bit on the technology behind this, as I was strongly considering many options at the time :) Yeah @DW75 , I own an open back HE400S, and the soundstage...

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

Just got my NO. This is so COMFORTABLE its beyond explanation. The cans just FLOATS on your head. Liking the sound out of the box already, I'm very curious to see how the sound will change after burning it in. Literally a STEAL at this price.

    Closed Back Headphones Recommendation Help

Reporting back after receving the Nightowl. These things are VERY COMFORTABLE MY GOD. The suspension system makes the headphone literally FLOAT. I'd even go as far as to say that these are more comfortable than my QC35. I have sensitive skin, so comfort is of utmost priority to me; I can vouch...

    Closed Back Headphones Recommendation Help

Yeah, I actually arrived at the Nightowl too, due to the price drop it might just be the most sensible choice right now. Will report back after I purchase and burn it in.

    Closed Back Headphones Recommendation Help

Hello, I'd like a recommendation on closed back headphones. I'm currently using an IEM, particularly the FLC8S, but I find that my ear wax is building up too much while using IEMs, therefore I'm looking for closed back headphones, primarily for office work. Comfort is a big priority for me, as...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Just wanted to post out my thoughts on trying out one of the products from Noble Audio. Not an audiophile by any means, so please forgive my horrible explanation. Had a chance to try out the Kaiser Encore. I own an FLC8S, been using it with red+gray+gold filter. Just a bit more information, my...

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

I've been rocking the FLC8S for about a year and a half now, have been using red+gray+gold filter. Damn I never get bored of the sound all this time. These sound good for just about any genre. The ONLY problem is that I need microphones, and I read around that its hard to find an aftermarket...

    Wireless IEM recommendation

Hello! I'd like to ask for recommendations on an upgrade over my Jaybird X2. I'm going to use these mainly for commute and exercise. They can be either truly wireless or just traditional wireless as long as they are tangle-free and does the job well. For reference, I do have an FLC8S for...

    PSB Spekaers M4U TW1

Asked an official distributor right here in Singapore, they replied that the TW1 does not support aptX. Will try to audition anyway once they hit the stocks!

    Sennheiser CX 6.00 BT

I did consider the GET, but apparently they introduce a lot of hissing for most easy-to-drive IEMs (low impedance), which is a huge turn off. Also not to mention the volume knob is too easy to turn, causing potential hearing damage. I'm really interested in how the CX6.00 will sound, will wait...

Bluewave Audio Get - Bluetooth 5.0 AptX HD 24 bit amp/DAC

Hi Karendar, thanks for the info. I think for my use cases I will instead search for a separate wireless IEM that supports at least aptX; still don't know if I'm going true wireless yet, will have to see CES 2018 till the end to make my decision.

Bluewave Audio Get - Bluetooth 5.0 AptX HD 24 bit amp/DAC

Hi there, I have been eyeing the GET for a week now. A bit info on my setup, I currently use Dragonfly Red on my Samsung S8, with songs between 16 - 24bit, 44.1 - 96khz, 320kbps or above. I use FLC8S with the Reds for my wired setup, and am planning to use it with the GET too for commute. One...

    Wireless/Blueooth Sports earbuds Recommendation

Hello guys,   Need a recommendation here on bluetooth earbuds for workout purposes. I mainly use it for running outdoors.   The earbud should be quite durable (sweatproof as well). Battery life is not too much of a concern to me, anywhere between 4-6 hours a charge should be enough for my...
