Soft-to-Touch, Smooth, Quiet Cables for TH610/HD580/HD650/etc?

My Fostex came with a superb soft-to-touch and very quiet cable harness. Unfortunately for me, it is like 3 meters long and has 1/4" jack on it. Would anyone have a source of a similar, shorter cable and hopefully with a 3.5mm jack?

[Resolved] Repair Manual for Fostex? (TH610)

Does anyone have any advice in repairing Fostex headphones? Specifically the hanger that mounts the earpiece to the headband. Or a service manual for these would work. I've emailed them without a response (maybe the holidays). /TL;DR An utterly rude person on an international flight shoved...

Hello! I have read and used fantastic advice from these forums in the past. It's time for an upgrade. I've read maybe 40+ reviews trying to determine what to buy next. I have tried several $500-$1000 over the years that friends have and was not impressed by any of them as I have a unique...

Buying new, Spouse says "too loud"

So I went searching for my "gamer headset" a few years ago after going through 5 complete highend (well, $250-$350) sets and bluetooth crap to finally settle on the Astro A40s.  Partially because of sound was decent, bassy, but decent.  But mostly because of the awesome Astro 5.4 Ghz Mixamp...
