    CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE

I no longer spend relatively a lot on audio equipment and would be as cheap as possible i.e., I would rather not hear a difference and save money, but the Dave was obviously superior and an experience that maybe one day I can own again.

I have yet to try Naim but have read many good things. I will most likely be waiting out for the Mscaler compatible amp (DX) for my speakers. I am always conflicted with gear because I find room correction useful for the lower mids and lows, but only a few components provide that feature. Maybe...

The new R series is looking great! I am very curious to know your findings. I have kef reference 1s that will be with PS audio m700s, but have yet to listen. Kefs seem pretty insensitive, but if you can get your TT2 to power your R7s then the TT2 & Mscaler might be my own way to go. Keep me...

I almost pulled the trigger on the a18t. I had the a12 in the past, so going for the a18t would have required no extra ear mold work! Oddly enough the KSE1200 are more comfortable than my customs. I sound like I am either a paid marketer or oddly obsessed with the kse, but if something comes...

Yes, that is the downside that I wish I could change. I listen to music 90% of the time at work via IEMS. Headphones generally would be preferred but I try to be as discrete as possible among my coworkers, so big headphones just don't work. If the company was my own or I was in isolation I...

No funds right now--I also a new set of speakers and amps i want to pair with the hugo2 and mscaler. I think I'll be very happy with the new speakers/amps but in hindsight I would have loved some omega speakers, Chord Dave, Mscaler, and the KSE1200. I've read that some folks didn't like the...

I have the Hugo2 TT on order, although I heard from another mscaler owner that he wishes he went for the Dave instead. Not to put words into his mouth, but I believe he thinks the Hugo TT2 + Mscaler = magic, and the DAVE alone is a magic of its own, but the Hugo2 TT, and the hugo2, aren't quite...

Yep. I would only move on to another device if it were a chord substitute. I am of course open to other companies but have yet to find another DAC, and now a mscaling device, that produces the chord sound that is a worthy substitute. My dream would be a Hugo4 or Hugo5 that would contain an...

Excellent. I have gone through around 100k of equipment in the last few years and what I do is buy a headphone/component, try it out, identify the benefits, and then move on towards other gear due to curiosity. The experience I encounter with Chord Hugo2 and the Mscaler--not the mojo though--is...

Ah, makes sense--no worries. I was joking with a friend that someone should post a pic of beats headphones with the Mscaler, and then state that no difference were detected.

I am a bit baffled by your response. You could have just said "I have my mscaler + hugo2 doing pass through, so chances are user error.." or even "Try X or Y..". Instead of a 333 page forum you should have been on page one and left the comment "my setup works perfectly, end of discussion". Just...

Rob mentioned using a portable battery to power the mscaler on flights--any portable battery option in the states ? Any explanation or resolve over why the mscaler can't do a pass through with the hugo2?

Ha yes, classical but mostly jazz. I love both but listen to the same genres as you. I am a product of the late 1990s and early 2000s music. I could go from cradle of filth, to jazz, to armim van beauren

Most audiophile sites name many obscure musicians, albums, etc. I wonder how many people are like me in that I listen to grunge, electro, nu metal, etc. I laugh at myself sometimes when realizing the type of music I am playing through 10k worth of equipment i.e. just listened to an old three six...

Usually when I take new gear to work I want to a coworker or two to try out the new piece of gear, but the hugo2 & HMS combo is so alluring that I find myself not interested in sharing. Many cliches on these threads but that isn't to say they are 100% correct. To throw out another cliche I am...

The manual could use more instruction for the not so well-versed Chord user. I misspoke a bit and should have said that the functionality does require a bit of learning, but the trade-off is a good looking piece of hardware that is unique--aside from great SQ.

I agree with Doody that the tech is awesome but the user interface and user manual are pretty difficult.

Rob, I've gone through many products and have always had a bug to try different ones till I came upon Chord, so thanks for your work. For the life of me I still can't figure out how to turn off the Mscaler. I take it to work during the week and home for the weekend, so I would like to safely...

Could someone tell me if this color is 768? The pic doesn't depict the LEDs very well but I see a blue and pink LED being lit. If I am not at 768, then how should i get there? Thanks
