Question for EtyDave: WIll Etymotic keep making the ER-4S, ER-P and ER-4PT regardless of the launch of the new ER-4's or it will be discontinued soon?   I would really love for Etymotic to keep making the 100-Ohm ER-4S because it is a living legend and it is easier to match with some amplifiers.

I think it can be fixed, but you need to have knowledge about recabling or how cables work in general or hire up a technician. Or, if you have a warranty, contact JVZ.

I trust this one. Better stay away from the T1 V2. I HATE when a new version of a good headphone come and just ruin the sound. Same thing happened with the STAX SR-007 and the HD 800 with the added distortion in the bass.
