Fiio E17k Alpen 2
That is worse when you disable usb charging, it drains the battery on the E17k thus clocking up charge cycles. The ideal scenario would be to not charge/discharge the battery on the device which seems to be impossible based on the setting.- afoongwl

Frequent freezing (not responding) in KODI/XBMC when Fiio E17k is used as a USB DAC
Quick update on this issue. FiiO have been able to replicate the same problem with the E17K on their end so you might need to reconsider if you plan to use this with XBMC/KODI/Plex for home theater as they use the same back end. I personally can confirm that this issue is not present in... -
Frequent freezing (not responding) in KODI/XBMC when Fiio E17k is used as a USB DAC
Usually i restart if that happens and the payback on foobar will "fix" itself. -
Frequent freezing (not responding) in KODI/XBMC when Fiio E17k is used as a USB DAC
Tried it on 3 separate PC in total. Basically if I have the e17k plugged in and playing music through it (i.e. selected as output device in foobar etc) kodi will be extremely laggy (i.e. freezes, not responding etc) even if video is not playing in kodi and the default output in kodi is not... -
Frequent freezing (not responding) in KODI/XBMC when Fiio E17k is used as a USB DAC
Hi Joe, If they are unable to replicate the issue does that mean that there is something wrong with my E17k itself? I have recently upgraded my computer with a new motherboard + reinstalled windows 7 and the issue still exist. -
FiiO E17K Review
I have just tested this. It seems that USB charge off would drain the battery making it useless to disable it when using 24/7.- afoongwl

Fiio as DAC for KODI/XBMC in windows.
Is anyone using a fiio as a dac for kodi/xbmc in windows? I recently purchased an e17k and using it as a dac seem to cause freezing/lagging issue in kodi when it is running in windows. -
FiiO E17K Review
So just to confirm. USB Charge off -> Uses power from USB and not charge the battery. It doesnt drain the battery at all when it is connected to the computer? I have the impression that in E17 that USB charge off means use device battery + dac input from PC. Has that changed in the E17k?- afoongwl

Fiio E17k Alpen 2
Would the battery wear out if I leave the e17k permanently plugged into a powered USB hub? I am thinking of using it as a desktop dac/amp for my pc.- afoongwl

Frequent freezing (not responding) in KODI/XBMC when Fiio E17k is used as a USB DAC
Hi, I just bought the fiio e17k and am using it as a USB DAC for my PC. When I set SPDIF Interface(FIIO USB DAC E17K) as the default device, I noticed a few issue with Kodi/XBMC (http://kodi.tv/) Googling around, it seems like there are no problem with using the e17 as a USB DAC for...
