Toslink cutting out
I have a Little Dot DAC_1 and every now and then (up to a few times an hour, but not always this frequent) the audio cuts out in a panning motion (left ear cuts out first then right ear, then left ear back on, then right ear back on, all within a quarter of a second). The optical cable is...- Jolfr

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
So I received my ei 6hm5's today, and I wanted to check before I power anything on. Do I need to switch the jumpers from where they were for the stock tubes? So if I'm looking at the jumpers from the bottom of the amp with the headphone jack pointed towards me, should the jumpers be to the...- Jolfr

I definitely noticed that the sound was much more full! And yes, I would say it's definite upgrade from the 6N6P.- Jolfr

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
So I took Mordy's advice and decided to get some 6SN7 tubes for my Mk iii. I purchased some extenders and adapters (9-pin to 8 pin) and I wanted to show off the adapters I got. I purchased these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191186398466?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT...- Jolfr

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
So I just purchased some new tubes and have seen a few things on ebay called tube dampers. I've seen all sorts, some that look like rubber o-rings, and some that look like cylinders on a ring. Do these really help? Thanks!- Jolfr

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Hey guys! I'm looking into doing my first DIY cable here soon. I'd like to make myself two short (<1 ft) RCA cables. (I will be using them as interconnects between a DAC & amp) Right now I'm looking at getting: Mogami W2497 cable ( http://www.redco.com/Mogami-W2497.html ) and Switchcraft...- Jolfr

DAC for LD Mk III and HD650
Hello everyone! I have recently gotten a Little Dot Mark III to go along with my Sennheiser HD650. I have looked around but I am having a little trouble finding a good DAC to go with my setup. What I would like is a DAC that has at least: USB input (24/192 over USB) RCA output <$200 Would...- Jolfr

I would definitely choose FLAC to listen to, especially if you're looking for small differences. Then use Foobar2000 to play the tracks in mono.- Jolfr

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hey guys, I have a couple questions about tube rolling. I just got my first amp (Little Dot Mk III, for my HD650's) and have heard that tube rolling can really help an amp. How much does it help the amp in all reality? How much would I need to spend on tubes to make a noticeable/good...- Jolfr

Tube amp for HD650
What would you say the difference between the vali and magni (and magni uber) is? I noticed that the Magni has much lower harmonic distortion. Along with higher max power and switchable gain, how does that compare to the MUCH higher output Impedance in the Vali? Thanks again!- Jolfr

Tube amp for HD650
Hello all, I plan on purchasing the Sennheiser HD650's soon. I was wondering what you guys think would be a good budget to mid range tube amp for the 650's. I was looking at the Darkvoice 336SE, but if possible I would like to spend a little less. Would you guys say that the modi/magni set...- Jolfr
