    replacement filters for etymotic er6i

Does anyone know if there is a source for etymotic er6i filters? The company doesn't sell them and I'm not seeing any on eBay and Amazon. Can I use the green or red filters? I'm not super concerned about fidelity - I just want to listen to some music on the lawnmower :D

World First! Massdrop x HiFIMAN Collaboration Announcement

Got my he-350 in a few days ago. The sound is a bit on the harsh side in the treble. Ive been playing music through them for a few hours a day, so we'll see if that improves the sound after a few days. The re00 came in today, and I have to say "wow" to those. The sound is very balanced and...

    What should I buy?

I tried to get some with the mods already applied today ... but they were sold out ;)  OPPO-PM3s are high on my list, though. Definitely interested in this closed back planar black magic. Seems like that's a pretty new thing.

    What should I buy?

Alright Internet, For some inexplicable reason, I have the urge to get another set of cans for work. They'll be powered by my Fiio e17. Mostly I listen to jazz, classical, and electronic at work. Closed back or in-ear, not on ear. Comfort is paramount. I'm leaning towards over-the-ear varieties...

Review by 'jrubins' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH-W1000 Headphones'

I've had these cans for a couple of years, and I got them knowing they had a 'forward' tonal presentation. That calms down after some serious break in time, but they are still quite bass-shy. Bass is definitely there through the range of acoustic instruments, but they aren't going to faithfully...

    Home-Made IEMs

Bill, I don't know if I'd use the shapelock directly... it gets a bit warm to the touch at molding temperatures. I was thinking about  using the radians to make a positive impression of my ear, then making a negative mold from plaster of paris (or something), and then making a positive out...

    Home-Made IEMs

B-e-a-u-tiful work, Marozie! I wonder, though, if you'd be willing to write a short post, a 'recipe' as it were for those of us having trouble reading through this *epic* thread. I'd like to know what you used to obtain your final results: What drivers/configuration cable crossover...

    Home-Made IEMs

Just cross posting, I haven't even made it through this *epic* thread yet Just wanted you to see my post here regarding using Radians "custom molded earplugs" as a way to make custom shells. and I'm subscribing

    Custom shells from earplugs

Ok, so now I've tried the earplugs. The radians system is basically some sort of rubbery epoxy, made from two silly-putty-like components. I tried to follow the basic instructions for making earplugs, but with a straw in my ear canal to guide the rest of plug construction. Unfortunately...

    Custom shells from earplugs

Hey all. I just picked up some Radians custom molded earplugs, and I was just wondering if anyone had any experience putting some IEMs into some? My main question revolves around getting the right alignment, and whether it's better to press the phones in while curing, drill a hole after...
