Looking for some IEMs, they will be used for travel, workout, and at school. I listen to a lot of rap, metal, and some alternative, decent bass is preferable but balanced is good. Recs?

Someone give me a suggestion on earpads for the psb m4u1?   Tried the Shure HP AEC 940 velours but they were too big.

I just ordered the shure hp aec940 velour earpads for the psb m4u1, and they are way too big unfortunately as they are very comfortable compared to my leather stock ones.  Can anyone help me find a good pair that won't take away too much bass.  Please help!

Bump, velour would be preferred; any 40mm that wpuld fit the m4u1?

Love these, but need new pads as the ones i have are too shallow. Does anyone have any recommendations for pads that would fit?

Looking for some pads to fit my PSB M4U1, the originals are too shallow and my ears touch the drivers and its very uncomfortable. Does anyone have deeper pads that would be comfortable and keep the same or similar sound sig?

Still don't know if it will be a big upgrade for a amp/dac combo over realtek alc892.

I'm torn right now.  

There is a bit of crackle when listening to songs such as Kid A and sometimes other places as well, the bass is a bit lacking of control like I hear just a little bit of distortion in the lower ranges though.  It's not a huge thing but I wish I had a better source to compare the headphones with.

Ok, thanks for the replies, should i upgrade from my onboard realtek alc892 or just look elsewhere to spend my money? EDIT:  No, I don't hear hissing, etc, I'm just looking to improve the sound to get the best out of my headphones.  Thanks again.

Isn't it more about clean sound and control than power with amp/dac?

I know its low amt of ohms, i figured it would significantly improve sound quality using those.

Not sure I'm going to buy more headphones soon as I have the M4U1, maybe I'll buy the DG and get an objective 2 odac combo or schiit stack, any thoughts?

Differences between the e11k, e10 and magni?

Maybe just give me the best PC audio setup for gaming and music you can think of for around 200 bucks.  

I believe it's the realtek alc892, so im not sure if it will be a big improvement or not.

I don't mind spending more than 100, ill bump it up if you think i would see a major improvement with the e10k and dx or another card.
