Press Release: Sennheiser launches URBANITE headphones
A lot of the stuff that was written about these was written when you could get them for 200 bucks. Now that you can get them for less than half that, does that change what anyone has written about them?- Grouchator

The new IEM of Vsonic VSD 3S ( impression updated by smailbz)
Amazing. After this new version becomes the norm, I don't think I see a downside to owning a pair.- Grouchator

The new IEM of Vsonic VSD 3S ( impression updated by smailbz)
So, I just got the VSonic VSD3 (Non S, Non detachable.) yesterday, and I've already listened to them for about 8-10 hours. I have a few thoughts on what I think of them as my first well researched IEM. Needless to say, I am very happy so far. First of all, the bass. In one word, it's...- Grouchator

VSONIC VSD3S, Help me decide which version to buy?
The VSD3S is a lot more balanced, while the VSD3 has more bass and a vocal boost. However, they have more in common than differences.- Grouchator

The new IEM of Vsonic VSD 3S ( impression updated by smailbz)
How good are these for rock music (Stuff like Swans and that new Chelsea Wolfe album. Maybe some late Beatles as well.)? Would the VSD3 or the VSD3S work better for that sort of thing?- Grouchator

An IEM with great isolation around $50?
So, I'm going to a convention next month, and it's going to be very loud there. I have sensitive hearing, so those portions of it will be very uncomfortable for me without some sort of ear protection. Because it is a social event and not a workplace or something, the cord in the in ears will...- Grouchator

Applied Headphone Comparison-Koss, Senns, and Grados- Oh My!
Okay, let’s get into the meat of the comparison! Acoustic Mountain Goats: “1 Samuel 15:23” (Really sparse song when it comes to instrumentation, even those Apple Earpods handle it decently.) Koss: Nice detail overall. The guitar has a weird resonant effect to it, making it sound...- Grouchator

Applied Headphone Comparison-Koss, Senns, and Grados- Oh My!
Introduction and Premise So, I am a 17 year old who’s been into headphones for about a year and a half now. Head-fi is a forum filled with people with a lot of experience and a lot of expendable income, two things I don’t have. So, most of the lingo used to talk about headphones is made for...- Grouchator

What artist(s) do you have all their albums?
None, sadly. However, there will be one artist pretty soon; I need one more album (All Eternals Deck), and I own every Mountain Goats album, not counting the earlier cassette ones.- Grouchator

What book are you reading right now?
I'm about to start Cloud Atlas. Actually, here's a question to ask... I'm reading this book for school, for a report where I compare the book and the movie. It was down to this or Johnny Got His Gun. but I went with Cloud Atlas, relegating the latter to a personal project (I like books.). I...- Grouchator

What headphones are you currently rocking?
Right now, I have the Koss Sportapro on my ears. I've been using them interchangeably with the Grado SR60i. The Grado's have killer midrange and treble detail, but electronic stuff is more fun with the Koss because of the impact the extra bass provides.- Grouchator

How do you collect music?
Here's the way I work: I look for things at my local music shop. If they have what I'm looking for, I buy the CD and rip it onto my computer and phone. Same with vinyl with mp3 codes. If they don't (probably because it's an obscure Norwegian band or something.) I either get a CD...- Grouchator

Sennheiser Momentum 1.0 On-Ears Review by mark2410
Can you compare the Momentum in ear and the MOE (Well, as much as you can compare headphones and IEMs.) ? Which do you prefer, and are there any major differences in the sound signature?- Grouchator

Looking for a headphone different than the SR60i. Or a DAC/amp.
So, I've narrowed it down a bit. I decided I wanted something that's both practically different and sonically different. So, most of these are closed back and over ear. Still taking suggestions, though. -Audio Technica ATH-M50x -Sennheiser Momentum (both on ear and over ear versions.)...- Grouchator
