I haven't tried the RS180. Are they as good as they seem?

Brilliant! Very creative and dedicated work. I wonder, do you think a person without much technical knowledge could manage to build a pair?

I envy some of these setups. Makes me want to make some upgrades to my own 

I usually just get a new pair when mine are worn out. Depending on how much I've used my headphones, they'll last anywhere from 6 months to a year.
