oh ok didnt know about that dolby not being sorround then ... ty , well i have sorround at 65 atm and crystalizer at 55 and in my music it  sound so good, very happy with this headphones, compared to my sennheiser 598's they were dissapointing when it came to bass and overall the x1 are so much...

OMG! these are awesome just after plug in i put my eq on flat, and jst like that the bass was amazing ... they are overal jst better, i understand that sennheiser are very good but i think they can be a bit to hyped ... my friends will hear this :), i dnt have to shell out anymore nowty vm for...

so you have jst the soundBZ on its own then ? if i may ask how are your settings ? like volume, sbx prostudio crystalize and all that 

no cant adjust the OHM's on the card ill jst have to keep the volume around the 50 percent mark and adjust everything else along, all this impendence stuff is comlicated for me lolol, should come through today some time ill update when it happens   oh and i got a cable at same time

thats right plus i want to be able to use dolby which i belive increses the virtual sound for games and music and i cant do that through the aped jack on my soundcards it has to go through optical, so im just wondering what would be a good dac/amp that will go well with my X1's and the other guy...

hey guys, im going to buy a pair of fidelio x1's, i currently own a soundblaster z and was wondering what is a good dac and amp to go with it so i can use the optical out of my soundblaster for the use of dolby virtual surround, not sure how it all works and how it all connects, any insight...

btw, i noticed they are 20 ohm and my sound card gives 600ohm continuasly and doesnt lower its ohm's these are 50 ohm and i already can only have around 50% volume otherwise sounds like they are about to blow up how would the x1's handle it ? like i said buyin a amp is impossible at this time...

looks  like i will be swaping them for x1's then, was lookin at a pair of denon ahd 2000's they look amazing but the price tag is a bit too much for my wallet unfortunatly ... they would of exactly wat i want by the looks of it , and being closed cans the bass would blow me away maybe one day...

well alot of ppl that i play with got sennheisers like this or bellow and they swear by them , kept telling me that i cant go wrong ... now that they are wearing in a bit they sound pretty good, and after messing around with volumes and stuffs but still that bass is not there ... i have read...

so i got my hd598 they sound really good, but my fear came true... the BASS is jst not enough for me ... i got the surround sound workin and every thing but as much as im playing with the EQ i cnt get that punchy bass outta of em which i kinda knew might happen i was just hoping i wouldnt be so...

well i wanted to say ty vm for you recomendations ive purchased the sennheisers 598, based on the soundstage and also them being great for gaming they are lower on bass but alot better then what i currently have, if the bass proves to be to underwhelming for me ill send them back and try a pair...

ty for the recomendation, ive noticed the 612 pro have 120ohm vs 250 of the DT990 pro's, im a noob but dosent that mean the the latter is harder to drive ? still learning the things :)

funny enough i was looking in to the phillips x1 and also the beyer dynamics too, but with the beyrs theres is alot of versions which got me really confused tbh although they seem exactly what i want, the akgs are very good but the £300 is a bit steep atm so trying to find something jst as good...

another silly question, K712 Pro need amping from what i read in the review, he uses a desktop amp which i dnt have and cnt really afford to get aswell tbh , now woould my 600Ohm on mu soundblaster z be able to do a good job of it ? and how woth the virtual surround be on them frm my sound card...

they will not be leaving the desk, i doubt it very much im not to bothered about what other people hear in my house from my headset bass is important to me, i want to be able to EQ some bass without the sound distorting ( within reasonable levels of course) luv my bass music i listen to...
