Help me get more out of my Yamaha Pro 500s

Most likely from my mp3 or phone, it's an m8 if that helps. Alternatively, are there any headphones you could recommend for non-amp usage that would be better than the 500s?

Help me get more out of my Yamaha Pro 500s

Just came back from CES and after hearing the LCD-3, I want them. Since I can't afford them yet, I'm looking to get more out of my 500s... Specifically more bass would be nice. I'm guessing this will be a result of an amp, as I'm already running 320 quality songs. What's the cheapest and most...

looking for the headphone with the most bass being driven by my cell phone

It's starting to seem like I'm pretty picky. Would it be a better bet to just get an amp that I can take along with me? Or are there any other suggestions? Was looking at the MR77x

looking for the headphone with the most bass being driven by my cell phone

Hi guys, I've had the ATH-PRO700MK2 and the Yamaha Pro 500, both being driven from computer, iPod or HTC M8, and while I like the sound of the MK2 and love the 500, I find myself wanting a little more bass. I know I could get an amp for cheaper than a new pair of cans, but for convenience I...

What headphone would be a logical progression from the ATH-M50 (the next step up, if you will)?

The one i had my eyes on were th eATH-PRO700MK2, Beyerdynamics Custom Pro One and the Yamaha Pro 500. Are these better in any measurable way?

What headphone would be a logical progression from the ATH-M50 (the next step up, if you will)?

Well I haven't decided on a budget yet, but likely less than $750. I'll be running it off of a Fiio E17, and I listen to more electronic than anything else but I do enjoy different varieties so I don't want to be limited. I'd like a little more punch, something that can really get my head moving.

Looking for <$50, closed over ear, strong focus on isolation and comfort over sound quality

No dedicated soundcard, all genres, generally driven from ipod and phone. No gaming, and comfort and noise isolation are priority over sound, whether passive or active. Fwiw this is for my sister, not me - 5'4" average sized college student

Looking for headphones that fit a pretty specific description, please help this uninitiated one

My personal opinion is that beats are still overpriced by $100. Go for the Yamaha Pro 500s, they have a cool look and slam hard. Did you check the best bass headphones thread? I would see that before making any decision.

Looking for <$50, closed over ear, strong focus on isolation and comfort over sound quality

Exactly what the title says - looking for a pair of headphones that are under $50 that can plug into computer or laptop and wear for hours without discomfort. Used is fine, closed preferred because of outside sound-preventing qualities Thanks!

Headphone advice, also where to try in Orange County, CA

Budget - Most of the headphones from the upper-middle range in beginner's guide I've found within priced 3-400 I have found for under $150, either through eBay or craigslist, so I'm more worried about getting good recommendations than price at the moment. Researched - Now Help Me Pick On/Over Ear Headphones Please!

Hello head-fi,   Until recently I had a pair of Bose QC2s which were incredibly comfortable and delivered decent sound quality. I enjoyed the over ear vs on ear feeling, but am not opposed to on-ear if they have good noise insulation and can be worn for long periods comfortably. Those have...

Trying to fix my noise-cancelling headphones - one ear works, one doesn't

Hi everyone,   I have an older pair of Sharper Image headphones (I know some of you are cringing) which only has the left ear working. I've repaired headphones before that only have one ear working, but this one seems different because although there are some loose wires at the plug, the...
