    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

Hey everyone, I found a new headphone for $10 that beats the 8320's. After the left channel went out again on my 12th pair, within five months, every pair did this (yes I'm a sucker for punishment), I finally got mad enough to try a new brand. And I got very lucky in discovering the KZ ED...

    AKG M220 semi-open studio headphones

Nice! I'm noticing my new M220's are sounding better the more I use them. Similar to the "burn in" from the 240 Studios. I stress test headphones with King Crimson and Pink Floyd, with a dash of Kendrick. Crimson really seems to tear off in all directions, with smooth yet abrasive textures in...

    AKG M220 semi-open studio headphones

Hey, new M220 owner here. My AKG 240 Studios fell apart (ear cups), so I replaced them with an all-black pair of M220's. But I did not buy from Massdrop directly, I purchased from Amazon new. However, the box indicates they are Massdrop branded. Anyway, I find them to be an upgrade over the...

    AKG M220

Thanks, those pads sound great. I'll check them out. I have noticed that the M220's have upgraded the quality of the pleather pads, and the brutal head clamping my pair of AKG 240's had (purchased around 2006 I believe).

    AKG M220

Just thought I'd post this mini-review. My AKG 240's basically fell apart after being sat on, and during along move. So I ended up trying out the Seinheiser HD 600's, and the Massdrop version of the AKG 240's the M220's. Am I crazy for preferring the M220's to the HD 600's? There's something...

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

I'm reposting this comparison here since it's on-topic: So my 9927's died at the plug again (left channel) and I was fed up, so I ordered new headphones. I have a pair of AKG 240's, and a uber-warm pair of Samsung headphones as backup (gulp). First, I found it difficult to work out with the...

    Monoprice 9927 versus HiFiMan RE-400

Hey everyone. So my 9927's died at the plug again (left channel) and I was fed up, so I ordered new headphones. I have a pair of AKG 240's, and a uber-warm pair of Samsung headphones as backup (gulp). First, I found it difficult to work out with the HiFiMan's. They just didn't stay still in my...

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

So, my third pair of 9927's stopped working at the base plug (left channel went out, jsut like the other two). Frustrated,I ordered a pair of HiFiMan RE-400's, on sale for $49 normally $99. I'm noticing that the sound is meatier, but also slightly harsher than the 9927's. Is there a way...

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

Thanks. Okay, well it looks like a found a weakness. This is my second pair of 9927's that has broken at the jack tension area (loss of sound in left channel caused by movement at the jack plug). Would anyone mind offering modding tips to beef this area up for my next pair?

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

Thanks for the reply. The cord is easily the biggest negative. I spend a lot of time untangling. Too much, actually.

Hey everyone, thought I'd add this post. After a move (and a heck of an adventure in the Rockies for four years) I got my Delta 66 sound card working on my older Windows music machine. I bought the sound card in 2000 for around $350, and I've found the converters still sound great, and it adds...

Greetings! Also, why do my Monoprice 109927's blow away my AKG 240's?

True, it is odd to compare earbuds to over-ear. But they just sound better to me, and I can't stand most earbuds. Either way, it's amazing to have my Delta 66 back. So much better than my Android and iPod (running iTunes on the PC). I'd forgotten how good it was....like someone took a heavy...
