These headphones sound horrible compared to my old hd 650 The bass is so overpowering i feel it will cave in my skull Horrible , just avoid

Dear all I bougth a sennheiser hd 700 and use it with creative sound blaster x7   They sound great except one issue , the bass is so thumping is it hurting my ears... I used them for one day and this basss i feel it will cave in my skull   I own also a HD 650 and the bass is not so powerful...

Did it happened to you to be scared by the clear separation of the sounds of HD650 ? I am listenining to Iron Maiden Sventh Son of a Seventh Son and some instruments in the melody came forward so clear (drums , cymbals etc) that sometimes i jumped from my chair while working, and looked around...

I play heavy metal , i use as sound card Sound blaster X FI HD USB The strange part is that i need to keep volume under 10% in windows or else the sound will blow my ears -_-

I have the HD 650 and i have Spotify premium 320 kbs mp3 and trial of Qoboz FLAC 44.1 16 bit FLAC I played same song many times on both and i cannot spot any difference ...Is this normal , is there no benefit to FLAC vs mp3 ?

I have fiio e17 and i use it with Qoboz radion FLAC 44.1 KHZ Quality I set up in windows the 44.1 Khz option and also supported formats for SPDIF Interface (i connected it via USB to the laptop) and Fiio display 48 Khz 16 Bit instead of 44.1 Khz 16 bit .... Is this false marketing from Fiio...

Should i switch to FLAC Qobuz radion instead of Spotify premium ?

i tried , the same sound , anyway now i test QoBuz FLAC files ....

i dont use e17 , i prefer the sound blaster x fi hd usb because i play some games... If i put e17 on full gain basically the bass would destroy my brains inside the skull LOL

Ps: at the beginning they were pretty non bas existant and after a week if listening they are smahing my brains at 20% sound volume... and the bas seems like is comming from a cheap 20$ earbud...I see no difference between the sennheiser bass and a cheapo bass oriented 20 dollar headphone  ...

I tested for hours. There is no difference between soundblaster xi fi hd usb and fiio e17 regarding sound quality But both **** on the onboard sound of my asus rog jx 750

I am using the cable , and i connect optical out of my creative card to the fiio e17 Is this better than connecting only the Fiio to the PC ?
