Hi all!
 
I have Sennheiser HD 650 headphones and i have bought Fiio E17 Alpen for them.
I am not sure if this device is better than Creative X-FI HD USB...
The Creative X-FI USB is 80 dollars while fiio e17 is 130 dollars so from this it would seem the Fiio has better components and offers better sound quality ??
The Fiio e17 can drive headphones around 250 Ohms and Creative X-FI HD USB around max 330 Ohms. With both when i crank volume up i cannot stand more that 60% wih FiiO and more than 30% with Creative X-FI USB HD so it seems bot can make the headphones sound very loud.

I don't think a lot of people here have experience with Creative's soundcards. TBH, I don't hear a big difference from with my computer's headphone out and Alpen E17's headphone out. On the other hand, I'm sure some would disagree with me.

I tested for hours. There is no difference between soundblaster xi fi hd usb and fiio e17 regarding sound quality
But both **** on the onboard sound of my asus rog jx 750
