Mod looks great! I'm looking at investing into the HE-400s and might consider doing this! 

You should buy the T-400 Comply tips and recable them they sound and look so much better!  It is definitely a major upgrade to the stock 8320s! Here is what I did to mine!

Is this limited only to those that have high end gear? I've been wanting to demo some of these setups for a while now to see if I want to invest in a serious rig.  I've got the monoprice 8323 and 9927 but, I don't think anybody is gonna be interested in demoing them ;).
