Is the V2 a worthwhile upgrade, I had V1 for a good while and found it great value for money and drove the HD650 really well

I compared AK SA700, Hiby R8, Fiio M15 and IbassoDX240/Amp8 - The Hiby R8 edges out the competition in all round performance, M15 is artificially detailed, SA700 is sweet but thin, DX240 is good all round but the R8 is a leap forward in soundstage and richness.

I have been enjoying my ER4P for a number of years until the cable joint became loose and is now intermittent, I could not find a replacement cable with the original two point connection, only cable available on Etymotic website is the mmcx connection, can anybody help?

Mojo 1 is a little beefier, very slightly more refined with more power into Sennheiser HD650, the W2 is not shamed in any way sounding quick and detailed, the difference is maybe 5% in favour of the former

I was surprised by the W2 OG because I thought something like a Mojo would walk all over it but they are comparable with maybe the Mojo just a bit cleaner and more powerful but the W2 certainly stood its ground sounding just as desirable in pure sound quality terms.

I beg to differ, I have both, using the pads from the 6XX and auditioned with another friend who has better hearing than me, we both thought the HD650 sounded more organic, more focused, 6XX sounded more like the HD600 than the sibling, cleaner than the HD650, a touch wider soundstage, leaner...

If you use it with a dap buy the HD58X, it's easier to drive, if you use the headphone with a good amp on the desktop definitely the HD6XX. Unless you have both and compare side by side you will be happy buying one or the other depending on what your needs and equipment level.

I used the Elekit TU8600 300B amp with the HD800S and they sounded fantastic, I have also tried the Sennheiser HDVA600 using the balanced output to get a cleaner more dynamic sound, both of which are at the ear candy level

I still feel that using a 4.4 cable made the biggest improvement to the sound quality, better dynamics, separation and definition without changing the basic character of the brand
