DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?
Brooko had recommended these initially, but the Sony brand isolation hybrid tips did the trick for me (in large): https://smile.amazon.com/Noise-Isolation-Piece-Ep-exn50m-Imports/dp/B005OT3O5A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1480715152&sr=8-3&keywords=sony+hybrid+tips I tried SpinFits and a few...- jeffhmason

There's also a Mac version of this free software I currently use in Windows to split these into individual files: http://www.techisky.com/software/medieval-cue-splitter-mac.html It's a one step process. You click on the .cue file and hit "split" and it will output the individual files...- jeffhmason

DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?
THIS! I have larger ear canals and I find the material on the SpinFits to be too thin/flexible to make a good seal for me. The Sony Hybrid tips are thicker and slightly more rigid (although not what I would desribe as "stiff" by any means). All of this means I wasn't getting a good seal with...- jeffhmason

DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?
I just wanted to post a general comment about tip seal and fit when it comes to the 2000Js. I've learned a lot from folks reading this forum and had settled on the Sony Hybrid tips (large) for my ear canals but recently decided to try out some SpinFits to see if it could make a difference for...- jeffhmason

Aune X1S 32bit DSD DAC worldwide review tour ------reviewers wanted !
I never did hear back from Aune Audio after several attempts, however thanks to a review on Amazon, I DID find a webpage with the drivers and user manual in English for download: http://www.ingeniousingenuity.com/User-Manuals_ep_43-1.html You have to scroll down about 3/4 of the page and...- jeffhmason

Aune X1S 32bit DSD DAC worldwide review tour ------reviewers wanted !
Is anyone here willing/able to share instructions (in English) for configuring native DSD playback in JRiver MediaCenter for this excellent DAC? The only instructions I received were in Chinese and for an older version of MediaCenter. I can get DSD to play in Windows over USB, however I...- jeffhmason

You can get Silicone Power 128 GB micro SD cards for as little as $38 here in the U.S. I bought one because it got good reviews on Amazon and Newegg.com. It doesn't have the phenomenal write speed of the SanDisk one I have but so far it's doing it's job well.- jeffhmason

DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?
Long time lurker to the thread but first time posting here about these 'buds. I want to thank everyone in advance for their detailed reviews; they helped me to decide to get in on the first Massdrop for these and I've had what I feel is sufficient time to evaluate them. I mainly want to...- jeffhmason

Fiio X5 - Custom/Modded firmwares
As Hawaiibadboy has said he's running out of room on his Dropbox... Just a suggestion but have you guys every tried Mega for filesharing? I only ask as I use it myself; it's 50GB of free storage and I do not believe there are download limits but I could be mistaken about that (as I don't...- jeffhmason

FiiO X5 firmware 2.50 download and discussion
I'm using a modded version of 2.5 and seem to have lost gapless playback on live material. Has anyone else noticed/experience this? This occurs on FLACs in both 44.1/16 and 48/24 (that's what I've tried so far).- jeffhmason

Fiio X5 - Custom/Modded firmwares
I realize this isn't the 2.5 firmware version thread, but has anyone else that has upgraded lost gapless playback? I'm using Relic's excellent Star Trek theme (with Babes) for 2.5 and I now have micro gaps at the end of live tracks as they segue to the next song .- jeffhmason

Well I'm from the next generation (my dad was born in '47 and I was born in '69), so my hat's off to you! I would've loved to have seen San Francisco in it's heyday first hand. I did meet a guy who was the house electrician at The Avalon back in '66 recently; nice fellow.- jeffhmason

I second the decision on the black case. I think it looks a lot sleeker than the photos I saw of the semi-transparent case. I was a pleasant surprise to see it was black when I first received my X5.- jeffhmason

I second the recommendation for this piece of software. In fact I've used it to rip some pure audio Blu Rays recently to put on the X5 (Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend 30th Anniversary and CSNY - 1974). If you're going to buy any audio blu rays in the future, I'd say this software almost...- jeffhmason
