I just got a 42inch plasma and instead of going with a speaker system which would clutter my room to much and annoy my parents, I think I want to go with a good pair of head phones. The plasma has a head phone jack. I've been hearing good things about the akg 271. Are they good for my needs?

Just got my total bit head amp and wow it really improved the sound quality. So much more powerful and amazing detail. Auctually gave me chills it sounded so good. Definitly no regrets about buying the K271s

Yeah I hope it wouldn't come to buying an amp but I guess I must for these. I was looking at the bit head, it just seems crazy to me that it costs as much as the headphones.
