I recently picked up a Project Polaris and I think it pairs very well with the AKG K7XX.  It seems like you can't really go wrong with any of the Garage 1217 amps.

  Isn't that the truth, great advice.  I think a lot of people make the mistake of buying new gear thinking they can just sell their old gear easily.  Sometimes it works out that way but more often then not it's the opposite.  At the very least, you usually sell at a loss.

I think you've convinced me. It's probably better that I don't get sucked into tubes right now.

Picking up a pair of these this week.  My first pair of AKG headphones...looking forward to testing them out.  You guys have any amp suggestions?  I might try and push for a Lyr 2 if it is in my budget but I would like to hear cheaper suggestions that would perform well with them.  Thanks!

I am strongly considering picking up a pair of these. I game a lot too, does anyone know how they perform for games? I'm assuming pretty well because of their wide soundstage.

Appreciate the detailed response. Right now I'm leaning towards the Asgard. Deciding whether or not it's worth the price upgrading the modi to a bifrost or just keeping the modi.

Hey guys, I recently received a pair of HE-500s and paired them with a magni and modi. It sounds okay but I think I'd like to step it up to one of the other, more powerful schiit offerings. Any suggestions? DAC or amp.
