Ah ok, thanks for this. I decided not to do buy the adapter for now. I'll live with a bit of noise floor since I don't notice it at all when I am listening to music at my normal listening volume. I just don't have that kind of money right now.

So I was looking at BTG's custom adapter maker and he has a 499 Ohm resistor. I guess that would work but I am not sure how much wattage it's resisting. How much would the output decrease from around the 12-13W at 38 Ohms (I think that's how much it's outputting) which I am currently getting...

As long as it's normal I don't mind it that much. I'll get used it to, already starting to.

I am using the HE-500. When I listen to music, they sound fine but when I am not, I can hear a very quiet but audible hiss. Kind of sounds like pink noise if you were to play at like 1-2% volume. 

Ah, thanks rob. So I guess the no soldering method I am using is correct then? However, I am not sure where the slight hissing coming from. Not sure if it's a wire or the unit itself.

Oh god, it seems to run fine for some reason (other than the a bit of noise). I should have done more research before buying this amp. Is there any way I can use this amp with the stock 1/4 inch connector with a wire from Brian at BTG? I don't know how to re-cable but I can learn.
