Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

Hi Darin, That's great news on the workaround for the DAC issue under MacOS. As I spend most of my life on the Mac (especially when travelling), I've just sent off an e-mail for new keys for this machine. Look forward to implementing the solution for this issue when available!

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

I've switched computers since last using this software and had issues on OS X (10.14) whereby the audio would become distorted after say 15 mins of use. Currently have this software installed on 10.15 although only have the trial running (will need to email for new keys) which works ok for the...

Best headphone with BIGGEST bass, and containment of detail and clarity

Just last week picked up a pair of DT1770 Pros to accompany my DT1990 Pros after watching a few reviews of these and I must say these are bass monsters... The sub bass is unreal. That's coming from a SE846 IEM owner. lol Great for music although, watched the Annabelle Comes Home movie the...

Chord Mojo Upgrade Query (Hugo TT)

Hello everyone, My trusty Chord Mojo is encountering some problems. I've been using it as my main source for about 6 months now as I actually really enjoy the signature and have been using Solaris IEMs for a good bit. However, it is starting to get extremely hot after a few hours of use and...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

The Smyth A16 demo video has me intrigued. $4k is steep but for hardware level virtualisation and being a DAC/Amp that isn't truly out of the realms of being a feasible purchase. I would definitely want to hear it in person first with different music types etc. With the iSines though, I have...

USB signal improvement devices (iFi purifiers, AQ jitterbug, Schiit Eitr etc.)

I bought an Audioquest Jitterbug as it was only a fifty quid. I've not noticed anything positive or negative from using it in my audio chain, although it is plugged into a USB C > 4port USB 3 hub. As much as I believe bits are bits and these (or fancy USB cables) should make no difference I...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

I'm not sure why although the first time I installed the app it didn't recognise the file in the downloads folder so I dropped it in the applications folder and it worked fine. Moved both and lost all of them after moving them to the downloads folder. Restarted and now everything is working...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

I purchased another speaker preset (Revel Ultima) and received another .lic file via e-mail. I dropped it in the Applications folder alongside the other .lic file (with Genelec & Home Theatre presets) however, even after restarting MacOS, OOYH still doesn't recognise it. Any ideas on how I can...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

Yeah, the input never clips its just once the plug-in has done it's thing it basically just peaks from beginning to end on most modern tracks, older songs that I usually listen to 70s, 80s are mostly fine though. Turning the volume down in the player to about 50% works too though so will stick...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

I've played around with A+ and I whilst I can get it to send sound to OOYH (if I switch off Exclusive Access Mode), I still get clicks and pops during playback which are actually painful to hear. Reverting back to iTunes/Tidal until I play around with it a little more. Can't seem to get the...

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator

Just purchased a license for OOYH with the Genelec and Home Theatre presets after playing around with the trial. The Genelec is by far my favourite out of all the presets for music on my iSine 20s with the home theatre preset offering a bit more bump in the LFE channel for movies if desired...

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

Well in that case yes, you do need to open the application then click 'record' but it only takes a few seconds and lets you enjoy the plugins in all programs. Eg. web browser when watching YouTube, Netflix, Games etc. Personally I don't like Audirvana so Audio Hijack is worth the extra 5...

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

No. Once you hit 'record' to activate the plug-ins you have in that session you can just minimise the app and it will run until you quit it or press record again. You can also adjust the AU plug-ins in realtime without any issues so you can still adjust it to your preference in realtime.

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

Unfortunately, you can't add these to FooBar. I tried to no avail for hours to find something that would let me add them to a Windows machine.

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

As long as the Session looks like (System Audio > Goodhertz AU plugins > Output Device then, just hit record. This will let the plugins take effect although as you are not outputting to a file it won't actually record anything.

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

Yes, any audio from software on the Mac can be ran through AUs. So, Safari, QuickTime, iTunes, even notifications etc. I don't even think the software is that expensive, I bought it a while ago and they have a new version and the upgrade was cheap but whatever, it is worth the cost of...

Goodhertz Audio plug-ins (CanOpener and Mid-Side)

If you are using a Mac, you can actually run AU all the time - so it works regardless of what software is in use. I use Audio Hijack by Rogue Amoeba, you can set it up so it captures system audio, add Mid Side and Can Opener and output direct to your DAC or even headphone port on the Mac...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I've sold my HD800S after using the i20s in their place for months, I prefer the sound and the comfort is greater to me. Sometimes I miss proper over-ear cans but to be honest, they end up causing discomfort on my head after a while so the LCD-i4s are basically my end game. I ordered a...

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

Will give them a go again on the HA-1 balanced out. Before I got the i20s I loved them (although did always use balanced out on the HA-1 rather than the Mojo), now they just don't seem so appealing...

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

Well, I've been using the i20s for just about a week now and my HD800s have been literally gathering dust so I figured I'd give them a go again for comparison. I really didn't expect the out come though. Plugged the HD800S in to the Mojo (via 3.5mm Cardas cable) and I've never been so...

    MacBook Pro 2016

Whilst I'd say the DAC inside the MBP is good, I wouldn't get rid of my Mojo for it alone. If I didn't have the Mojo in the first place and like to listen loud often, I probably wouldn't miss an external DAC however. Both my HA-1 and more specifically Mojo sound much more musical to me and...

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

Hi Cagin, I'm also from the UK and just wondering what distributer has ordered a set of these IEMs in and could be a UK supplier for them. Buying direct just isn't economical due to taxes as you mentioned. I just got the iSine 20s and am blown away at how good these are, almost HD800S level...

    Tidal Masters & MQA Thread!

I would like to compare MQA vs DSD but I only have a couple of DSD albums, the most common one "Thriller" is only FLAC Lossless at the moment on TIDAL and I must say the DSD tracks sound so much cleaner (OPPO HA-1 > HD800S).    My other comparison is with Ed Sheeran divide album. Castle on the...

OS X - Software Crossfeed (JRiver or Plug-in for Audirvana)

Okay, so I have now discovered the Goodhertz CanOpener AU plugin for OS X and so far, along with Audirava this seems to be the perfect combination so far.   If there are any other recommendations for other AU plug-ins please let me know or I will purchase CanOpener before the trial runs out...

OS X - Software Crossfeed (JRiver or Plug-in for Audirvana)

Hello all,   So I have switched back to the Mac after the dust has settled on the MBP 2016 model and with work returning to a sane level (for now) am experimenting with various players.   My previous setup was a Dell XPS > Oppa HA1 / Mojo DAC using TIDAL or iTunes for playback.    Last...
