The first Pullman cd on The Thrill -Jockey label is very nice! Very well recorded, warm, rolling, modal (SP?) type stuff. Not the most virtuoso (flashy) playing, but very relaxed and flowing. Second Pullman cd is a bit of a dissapointment.

Strangly the soft bullitin didn't do to much for me. I recorded a FL's tune off the radio some years back. I don't know the name of it but I like it alot. It has lyrics like... "Come along if you dare. Don't be afraid to care. If everyone were different there'd be nothing left to change...

I can't agree with the Sly collection- tooooo bright!! Of course that stuff may have been recorded like that in the first place, super-hyped for AM car-radio play. Like MC-5's "Back in the USA", great songs, horrible production.
