    CHORD HUGO preview report

Same here I'm trying to talk myself into this one. It would be my first purchase in the audio accompanied by LCD-2's. I wanted to order directly from a UK retailer since the US price mark up is BS, but they are only supplied with UK psu and version and such.

    REVIEW: The Stunning McIntosh D100

    Cool, thanks for the feedback.

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

I think I'm either going to get the McIntosh or Hugo, I'm leaning toward the Hugo because of its portability (added benefit) but also I can always purchase an amp to upgrade it later on. I will probably wait a few weeks - month to see how others like it before I bite the bullet. I'm a very...

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

True, I want to get something that has the newest technology, but I guess that's the price I pay for wanting the latest..no reviews. Yeah it sure does look pretty sweet.

Would either be a good investment for a starter setup Chord Hugo or McIntosh D100? Thoughts?

    REVIEW: The Stunning McIntosh D100

This sounds awesome, which headphone would pair the best with this unit, HD 650 or the harder to drive LCD-2's?

    CHORD HUGO preview report

I was curious of this as well as it peeked my interest. However the Prime turns me off that in it "needs" a $1200 psu, and only comes with in my opinion a cheap wall wart for such a unit.

Thank you smial1966 for the recommendation! I will most definitely use that distributor, also the shipping cost should only be around 40-50 dollars.

smial1966 I had not, but it appears that this is the route I will take, especially if it proves to be more feasible and economical.

I found a distributor, well the only distributor in the US that I found thus far and they are going to be charging $2,395 for the unit, even though the exchange rate is much less ($1966.08).

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

GaryWA yeah that's exactly what I meant. The Burson does have some good reviews, I'll have to do more research. Thanks     Bump...   Any other options or input on the thread I would greatly appreciate it, I'm not the type that jumps into purchases that's why I would like more input. Thanks

Chord Hugo to go (Portable DSD DAC/Amp)

Just wondering but do you guys think this would be a good product to invest in? I'm looking for a top performing DAC and I'm assuming it will need a dedicated AMP to drive LCD-2's but it looks like a nice unit to have at home and also away.    Will the unbalanced RCA outputs on this connected...

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

I've been reading that a lot, however I've heard a majority of tubes are for brighter sounds which I'm not to keen on. I was planning on staying in the solid state arena. What are your thoughts on balanced outputs vs unbalanced? Wow 3k lol, as long as you found the best sound that suits you I...

GaryWA, cool, thanks for the info I have thought about those as well.   Does anybody have any thoughts about a good AMP/DAC for my music taste?

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

Yeah I bet it does, I would love to purchase those or even the LCD-X, but I thought it would be better to purchase a great pair of cans like the LCD-2 and have a little more money for a DAC/AMP, specifically the DAC. Would you agree?

Okay, the Audeze LCD-2's are the one. Now what would you recommend for a DAC/AMP?

Hello, I have been researching and I've come to the conclusion that the Audeze LCD-2 will be the best headphone for my music taste. I prefer Old-School Hip-Hip, Rap, R&B and Rock (Metallica etc.). I do love bass, and from every review I've read, the LCD-2's are perfect for bass and they deliver...

Thanks for the input, I seriously waited till the last few hours, but couldn't take the plunge into something I'm new at and had no reviews of. I do hope they turn out to be great so I cant eventually pick one up.

Cool, thank you for your input I really appreciate it. I better hurry up and decide quick, time is running out.   Edit. Also how likely do you think the pulse will be given a new chassis by the image that you posted in the other thread or something similar?

Invest in Geek Pulse or Save up?

Hello, I have been looking into purchasing a good beginner audio setup, at this point preferably a combined setup (due to cost) and I've also some across many options. I am very interested in the Meridian Prime, as well as the Burson Conductor/SL or the Violetric V200 & V800 (DAC). My plan was...

I was watching the video and looked on the indiegogo website and it will have a 3 watt  headphone amp. Are you aware if that mean 3 watts per-channel or for both?
