New Laptop + DAC + Equalizer APO - Still some software compression / normalization going on. Help me disable this
Been quite a while since I've posted here. Happy with all of my gear so I decided to not get "upgrade-itis" and stay away. Anyways, I've got a new laptop now for work. I've installed my DAC, an old CORDA 3MOVE. I stream a lot of music from Google Music these days so I needed to install an...- guitarman19853

Ultrasone PRO 650 for $99 over at MF Stupid Deal of the Day
Yeah when I saw these this morning (sorry for not posting them sooner!) I knew there was no way I could pass them up. Aside from my Westone W2 IEM's that I actually needed to buy for stage IEM use, this is the first headphone purchase for me in over a year!- guitarman19853

Need to replace my ER-6i by next Sunday... What to get?
All of the Westone products seem to use the same style of eartips of the etymotic's. I searched a bit and found that people recommend the W2 over the UM2 even though the UM2 is meant to be an on stage IEM. However since I wanted to keep it under $200 I am hesitating for more options... Plus...- guitarman19853

Need to replace my ER-6i by next Sunday... What to get?
So I use my ER-6i's with our in-ear system at my church. Well today one of the cables went bad. I may try to get them re-cabled but I need something by next Sunday 3/21. Heres my question - I want to upgrade to something a little better. But I like the Etymotic Research tri-flange tips. I...- guitarman19853

You HAD to post that Orient watch, didn't you. I stopped looking for watches a while ago because I couldn't find anything that fir my wants: Good looking, automatic, sapphire crystal, and (relatively) inexpensive. Now I desperately want the CFT00004B Is there any others worth considering...- guitarman19853

anyone ever seasoned a pan?
My parents have an old cast iron pan they tried to give me but I didn't see any use for it. Now it's sitting in a pile of scrap metal to be taken to a scrapyard at their house. Should I rescue this thing?- guitarman19853

New PS3 Slim can bitstream audio
Best Buy is being accommodating to those who bought a PS3 Just outside of the 30 day price guarantee. I don't know how far they will go but I bought my PS3 37 days before the price changed. They gave me the price difference in store credit.- guitarman19853

New PS3 Slim can bitstream audio
I dunno, I've been thrilled with the games that I got for PS3 so far. Killzone 2 (great game) and Metal Gear Solid 4 (haven't put in much play time, but I liked what I tried) came with the system. Then GT5 Prologue is amazing and so will be the full GT5 soon. Battlefield 1943 (DLC) is a great...- guitarman19853

I went into a Movado store to check out their watches last week and I didn't like their dials... I mean, yes they are very elegant and nice to look at but how are you supposed to accurately tell time?? Isn't that the point of a watch?- guitarman19853

AT&T and Skullcandy team up...oh boy...
Oh my... Look, I actually don't have any experience with any of the other skullcandy products except the Ink'd buds because a buddy suggested them as a cheap IEM. So maybe every single other product in their line is crap... but these definitely aren't. And at $9.99 on sale... how can you pass it...- guitarman19853

AT&T and Skullcandy team up...oh boy...
I don't see what's wrong with skullcandy... their Ink'd buds are a great back up IEM for $10 - $20 I used them when my ER-6i's were in for replacement. I always carry a pair with me to gigs.- guitarman19853

Guitar-fi anyone?
I love those amps, especially when you crank the clean channel all the way up. I would've gotten one but they don't have an FX loop, which I need for my GT-10 rig- guitarman19853
