A capacitor is a device that stores energy in the electric field created between a pair of conductors on which equal magnitude but opposite sign electric charges have been placed. But I cant understand what they do in amps???

Well, I know now that the component at the heart of an amplifier is the transistor. But what capacitors do in amps? And how can they affect sound quality?

So, I need to buy BlackGate capacitor and replace it with PRII capacitor MYSELF?! Or I don't understand something?...

Which is the winner? My system will be: Indigo DJ => amp (SR-71 or PRII) => AKG K701 Is it possible not to be impressed by sound quality amped vs. unamped with these amps? Thank you!

I plan to buy Echo Indigo DJ and AKG K701 for my notebook. I am currious will Echo Indigo be able to drive K701 well? Or I need to buy a separate amp? What differences can be perceived between having it amped/unamped? Thank you very much!
