One more question, if I manage to get $100 together is it better to buy an amp or dac first? I have my eyes on the objective 2 or magni2 as an amp and the odac or modi2 for dacs.

If I have NO amp or dac and I currently use hd558, will the 6xx be that big of a difference? Would they sound bad plugged into my onboard sound?

So I travel on the bus a lot, and my current headphones are insuffcient for traveling (HD 558). What is a good pair of headphones that is compact, noise canceling, but still good quality in the $100 range.

How do would I do that? I really am brand new to this
