The FiiO X1 Discussion and Help and Support Thread |192K/24B|100mW | LO | inline remote

How do others ensure that songs are not repeated?   This is an 'essential' feature to any high-capacity media player as absolutely no one can keep track of what songs have been played and what songs have not. And I *hate*..with a passion..when songs are repeated twice or three times before...

So, it wouldn't repeat *any* song until *all* songs have been played? That's what I'm going for, essentially.

For people that own this player, how do you ensure that you don't repeat songs?   What I currently do (with my iPod Nano - 6th gen) is have 2 playlists "All songs" and "Today's Songs".   "Today's Songs" is a smart playlist based off "All Songs", which is set up like this: Playlist is 'All...

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!

Looking for a pair of headphones or ear buds for the gym.  I listen to classical mostly, some metal, some techno.   What I am looking for in a pair of headphones:   1) Noise isolating - as I'll be in a gym (not noise-cancelling) 2) Comfortable to wear for periods up to 2 hours without...

    Tried the Koss Portapro

I've never tried clip-ons, mostly because when I look at them, they look like they would be a pain to use.  They look like (to me) that they would always get tangled up in itself.  That's why I've always liked the 'behind the neck' style.   Plus, I when I had the PMX 60's, I loved them.  I...

    Tried the Koss Portapro

So...I tried the Koss Portapro.    Immediately...didn't like them.  I have a large head and they were tight on me, even when the headband was extended to it's maximum.  (I even tried the Sennheiser PX 100 - it clamped on me so tight that my ears felt like they were going to bleed)   Plus...

    Koss Portapro....for exercise?

I've been looking for decent headphones to use while exercising (elliptical/treadmill/weights) plus, these would be worn while I'm at work.  I used to use the Sennheiser PMX-60 as they were comfortable to wear for hours and hours without my ears feeling like they are bleeding.   I tried the...

    Sennheiser PX100-II

I purchased the PX 100-II on Friday.   I returned them today.  They were torture to wear.  Only after wearing them for 2 hours (and I need headphones that I can wear for 7+ hours at a time), my ears were incredibly sore and very red.  The head band is simply too tight for me.   They did...

    Volume control for SPDIF output?

Juuuust wonderful...   The www.mavaudio.com is now just a link farm, and I was going to order the Maverick Tube Dac this week.   Any other suggestions that was like the Maverick Tube DAC? That thing was perfect for me.

    Volume control for SPDIF output?

Screw it.  I've spent the better part of the day researching DAC's, and the only one that seems suitable for for me is the Apogee Duet. It's the same price as the Dacmagic (in my city), and it has volume control.   Since I'll be on a Mac in the very near future, this choice seems the best.

I don't see SPDIF input on that.

    Volume control for SPDIF output?

Back in January, I purchased KRK speakers for my computer, they sound amazing.  This past week I ordered an iMac 27 inch.  I also read that using SPDIF from the iMac locks the volume at 100%, so I need some way to control the volume.   I know that the KRK's have volume control's at the back...

I need some self powered speakers..

I personally am using a pair of KRK Rokit-Powered 5 G2 speakers. Most of my music is mp3 ranging from 128 - 320. Everything I play sounds amazing on these speakers.

    Took the plunge

They are the KRK RP-5G2. I am in Canada, and I paid $436 for both of them (after taxes).

    Took the plunge

I took the plunge and purchased 2 KRK Rokit-Powered G2 speakers to replace my 10 yr old Sony stereo for use with my computer. After 2 days, I am amazed at how much better they sound over the old stereo. Even out of the box, they sounded SO much more superior than any stereo I've heard. I...
