Help w source for ultra-thin Mylar/film. dead-ended
Hi ... I'm not sure I know of a source of wider mylar but I would guess that longer lengths are available from here - and still 0.5 micron: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polyester-Mylar-film-5-microns-thin/113169978510 Best regards, Jesper- evalon

My DIY electrostatic headphones
Hi Ed ... Well, I won't add much other than a bit of additional information that I personally find interesting: The free air "band-width" of a 1 um mylar membrane is 97 kHz and it derates linearly with thickness. Thus, a 3.5 um membrane will have a roll off frequency of ~28 kHz. Personally, I...- evalon

My DIY electrostatic headphones
Hi all, Just wanted to link to this article which covers HF phenomena related to ESL design - although written mainly with loudspeakers in mind I would say that it is also relevant for headphones. Hi headphone people, I have a question that I hope one of you may be able to "shed some light on". As it is I am curious as to whether one of you have tried to use one of Audeze's (or hifiman's for that sake) headphones as a microphone? And if so - did you then by any chance notice what...- evalon

Hi again, ... thank you for your reply and suggestions. I've looked at the link you posted and it could be interesting .. Seek Sennheiser HE90 alike ear pads.

Stax Lambda SR connector pin configuration?
Hi NamelessPFG, Thank you also for clarifying. It says "Signature" on top of the earcups and no signs of rebuilds - so altogether it looks like a Pro bias version ... So off to listening (soon) ;-) Jesper- evalon
