SRH440s vs Senn HD 280
well then, 440s are my final choice! I'm horribly indecisive. I wasn't able to get the 840 pads yet, but I have a small head so comfort might not be much of a problem.- Sekhmet

SRH440s vs Senn HD 280
I don't have a large head so I think ill be fine. I ended up canceling my shure order because you know, I do care about bass more than I thought and I've pored many reviews that said the bass just wasn't there. the charts show the 280s being the closest thing to the 50s in terms of frequency, so...- Sekhmet

SRH440s vs Senn HD 280
Quote: Yes, I've heard the same. Though I've heard the durability issues to be more prominent on the 280s, and the clamping to be a detrimental point as well.- Sekhmet

Quote: yeah, i'm trying not to be too picky or hyped up for it since i can't upgrade until late summer, but as a new audio head, i want to start off small. i want something that sounds good. but since a lot of people here have been in the head fi game for a while, what they may brand as...- Sekhmet

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
so tempted to get them "used like new" on amazon had to settle for SRH440s with 840 pads because i didn't have the little extra cash for the 50s. but these will hold me over until summer where i can upgrade.- Sekhmet

oh, and I'm switching out the pads for 880 pads, will that affect the isolation?- Sekhmet

SRH440s vs Senn HD 280
thanks man. I wanted the most neutral sounding while having a little slight umph to the bass. but I'm not a bass head, so I wasn't gonna look for "bass" cans specifically.- Sekhmet

how do you guys feel about the 440s? not hearing much about them in these super guides. I wanted no leakage and i didn't want to hear the outside world as much, i may get the 280 from senn but i've heard things like isolation is bad. the bass frequency graph kinds makes me skeptical.- Sekhmet

SRH440s vs Senn HD 280
I'm new here. This thread has been done many times before, I know. But few ever came to a consensus. Anyways, I'm debating on these two. No, I don't have the extra 25 to bump up to the 50s as I'm paying for them myself. I don't know how to read frequency graphs well yet, but the bass goes...- Sekhmet
