So ive never had to much need for external amping with my headphones but i plan on getting the hp100 this year and know that its gonna be needed. My questions is which portable amp should i go with. I was thinking about getting the fiio e11. Is this a good choice?

Would you happen to know if the hp100s swing more towards bass emphasis than the hp150s. Any big differences between the two?

What I meant by semi balanced, is that i want something I am gonna be able to use to listen to everything. I don't want something where the bass is over powering.

I suggest the sony MDR-XB 500 great pair of headphones, there is no lack of bass. also comfort wise best pair of headphones ive owned. In my oppinion if you get a decent portable amp they sound better then the m-50. What seals the deal for me is theyre only 70$

I took a look at the DT770, definite maybe. How does it sounds with the heavier electronic like dubstep.

Id much rather have something really bassy like my 500's. Over ear is also a must, sorry forgot to mention that.
