Allo moi j'suis de Québec l'autre bord du pont ;) I just got these last week and honestly they really need breakin time to get rid of the annoying peak in the sibilant area. Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.
I never tried the stock opamp until around two weeks ago. I wanted to see how this little piece could change the overall sound of the amp. Stock sound pretty much like most ok solid state amp while the opa627 clearly borrow the fun sound signature of a tube amp. I find the sound much more...- Xprime4

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.
I received my burson few hours ago and honestly i wished the m-stage was there up to its level so i could return it and my wallet would have been happier. , It's in a different league honestly, soundstage wise it makes the hd650 shine like never before. Not a hint of 'sennheiser veil and a...- Xprime4

Best Ipod Dock/DAC for the money?
Other idea would be to replace the ipod by another 'portable' source ( pretty much anything that ain't a laptop or computer) and that i could chnage song while being half asleep. I'd prefer if it bypass the internal amp so i can use the matrix m-stage (rca or usb dac... no sure it'S great) ...- Xprime4

Best Ipod Dock/DAC for the money?
Hi there, i'm only using my ipod in my bed setup with consist of a matrix m-stage powering a hd650 set. I'm using a good quality ipod dock out to rca to transfer the signal between the ipod and the amp I'd like to invest into a DAC but i'll still be using my ipod as my bedtime media...- Xprime4

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I'm currently owning a Matrix M-Stage to power my hd650. I'd like to know what would be a good update in the amp market as now? It's my bed setup so it's hooked directly into the ipod classic 6gen dock out. Buying a Dac that won't be reading my 320kps mp3 is kinda out of question, as it's...- Xprime4

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.
I just tried the stock opamp since i had the amp with the 627 already installed and the difference is quite big. The stock one make the music less dynamics imo. I ordered a LM4562, but until i get it i'll be putting the 627 back for sure :)- Xprime4

Possible to get DT990 and DT880 for the price of one? You bet! (Frequency response testing included)
I just modded my dt 990 pro. They already had a thin felt pad on them covering the whole cup. I remove it and replace it with a thicker shure 840 felt pad and close them back. The highs are definitively less obstructive, but i need more listening time. how come no pictures from this...- Xprime4
