might be (very) late to the party but i just bought a massdrop HDXX and upgraded its cable to a balanced cable with the 2.5" TRRS (KK Cable) and it is amazing straight through the DP-X1. nothing compared to using the DP-X1 single ended. Full of power, detail and a much more spacious sound stage
