i tried different songs and different sources (ipod touch, computer motherboard audio input, ipod shuffle)  

is there something wrong with me? i cant seem to tell the difference between a $20 pair of earphones and a $200 pair of headphones   my friend owns the Audio Technica ATH-50's and they sounded practically no better than my v-moda bass freq($20) yet he insist that everything sounds good...

i live in cali too. Los Angeles the only ones you can test out frequently at stores are over the head earphones. any IEM has to be purchased(subject to restocking fees at some places)

sorry guys i think it might have most likely been a super terrible seal. it seems very unlikely that these were fakes. i purchased them from Amazon, not a reseller or reseller fulfilled by amazon the packaging was way too real for it to be fake

hmm i purchased some x10s over black friday off the AMAZON STORE, not 3rd party seller. the thing is that the earphones sounded worst than my $25 vmoda bass earphones.... the package was fully sealed and everything seemed very genuine what gives? fakes?       OR   do the $350...
