NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S
Hello everyone, how hard are the HE 400S to drive? I currently use a JDS C5 amp to power my headphones (M-100), would I need to upgrade to something else to fully appreciate the HE 400S?- chuckle490

What are some good IEMs for under $100
Thank you guys for the recommendations! I was very interested in the titan at first, but because of its design I am afraid it will not isolate well enough. I had previously considered the RE-400, but as JoeDoe said every review I read states that the bass is well extended, but lacks impact. I...- chuckle490

What are some good IEMs for under $100
I had decided on purchasing the DN-1000s but being a college student I cannot really justify spending that much on IEMs right now. Are there any good alternatives for sub $100? I listen to primarily electronic music, but also listen to pretty much every other genre as well. I will listen...- chuckle490

Best IEMs for electronic music sub $150
From what I have read, isolation on the Titan 1 is not the best, and because I plan to use these on the go I would really like to have above average isolation. The only thing I do no like about the ATH-CKX9iS is the inline mic, is there a model that does not include the mic?- chuckle490

Best IEMs for electronic music sub $150
I'm looking for an iem I can wear around campus and on road trips.I listen to primarily electronic music and prefer a v shaped sound signature similar to that of my V-MODA M-100. I will drive them with either my jds labs c5 or straight out of my HTC one M8. thank you for any and all help!- chuckle490

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
Mostly electronic music, but I also listen to hip hop, rock, alternative, and pretty much anything now that I think about it lol. How is the bass presence for electronic music?- chuckle490

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
I am also a student, so I have a hard time justifying spending more than $400 on headphones, which is why I am having a hard time deciding if I should purchase the HE-400 or the HD650/400i. I have heard the HD-650 scales very well depending on the amp, where as the HE-400/400i does not scale as...- chuckle490

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
Hello guys, i haven't been keeping up with this thread so please excuse me if this has already been answered, but are thee HE-400 still relevant after the release of the 400i? I have been wanting to upgrade to either an HE-400 or 400i or HD650 for a while, and can't seem to find a review that...- chuckle490

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Before the XL pads were released what we used to do was stuff the inside of the pads outer area, underneath the actual padding, with rolled up gauze. It should still work with the XL pads.- chuckle490

Compared to grados, yes they do. I do find that when I am using my M-100 on the go I tend to turn the volume up a bit more and I activate the bass boost on whatever amp I am using. This is particularly the case on road trips, where road noise can drown out the low end.- chuckle490

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I'm a little late to reply, the cracks have no effect on sound and they are typically barely visible. I only discovered the crack on my M-100 on close inspection. Mind you that I have had my pair for 2 years and wear them so much that my xl pads are beginning to wear out. Build quality is still...- chuckle490

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I think I have to disagree with this, I've taken the utmost care of my M-100 for over two years and yet I still have tiny cracks in the wing plates, around the screws. I've never switched out the shields, and the most stressful thing I have ever done is I switched earpads. Whereas my...- chuckle490

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
The right driver on my M-100 went out last Wednesday, and the package I sent to them for warranty just arrived today. I originally purchased my M-100 on 1/13/2013 so I am just barely over the two year warranty, but I'm hoping that maybe they will go over and beyond with their so called 6 star...- chuckle490

Guys I have a quick question, if I use an ODAC to O2 combo on my pc for gaming, can I still use the stock microphone input on my motherboard? I have been using my M-100 boom Mic combo straight from my soundcard and I am ready to upgrade to an external sound solution.- chuckle490

Yeah, Hero by the Pegboard Nerds is mental, and I don't typically enjoy hard style. And TeskR have you listened to Haywyre's debut album? I thoroughly enjoyed it as a whole, but particularly like the track Voice of Reason off of it.- chuckle490

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)
You do realize hip hop is electronic music right? Modern hip hop production uses samplers, sequencers, drum machines, synthesizers, turntables, as well as live instrumentation. Electronic music is often associated with drugs too, it is not just hip hop. Just because someone likes a song that is...- chuckle490

Why can't you like both popular artists and obscure artists? Lots of people do, including myself. Seriously dude, just go to beatport.com and discover it for yourself. They have everything. Lol, Beatport is an online music store that specializes in electronic music. It is also the website that almost every dj uses to purchase music. Oftentimes Beatport is the only place to purchase a lossless copy of a digital only release. I also use bandcamp but you can't compare beatport's...- chuckle490
