I am looking for a company that would turn CIEM into Universal. Does anyone know any companies that offer such services.

I recently plugged my UM Mage into my laptop and accidentally played something at full volume. Now I am paranoid that the CIEM is damaged. Can someone let me know if that is possible or if there is a way to check if the CIEM is damaged or not.

There is a piece of ear wax jammed too deep inside of my JH16 Pro and I tried everything to get it out but I still cannot. Can I put a vacuum tube close to the opening and suck out the debris? I have never done it before so I'm a little hesitant to try it on a $1200 CIEM.

I vouch for Stephen! He's a miracle worker! Reshelled my JH16 pro there, and it fits perfectly! 

The reason why I chose CIEM over full size is because of the hair too! I can't wear full size at work and then go see a client, I will look like a fool.

Just received my reshelled JH16 Pro and reshelled/upgraded TF10x6 from UM last week! It was done beautifully! The process itself took over a month, but I can say it is well worth it for the craftsmanship.

I've been using my Hifiman 602 (bought from a member here), and the system randomly restarts sometimes during playback. If I listen to music for an hour, it will happen about 2-3 times. Is this a common problem? is there a fix?

I'm going to open it up to measure exactly how much space is in there. I love the DAP, but the battery just suck too much. I will find a bigger battery that fit and test it out. I ordered few of these usb battery pack (including the one below). I'm going to open them up and see if they come with...

I didn't know the original is 2600mah. I cant believe with such a big battery the battery life is only 8 hours!

I tried replacing the battery on the HM602, which seems like a simple process because there is a simple connector for the battery on the board. I read some where that it takes a 15V battery, so I bought one on Ebay, but it does not work for some reason. Can someone let me know the specification...

I personally vote for one $400 headphone, because once you have the good one, you will never listen to the bad one.

I'm curious as well. Is there any DAC/AMP combo under $300 that can power the HD800 nicely?

I have the old school iAudio X5, and the difference between turning on BBE and not turning it on is huge if you are playing 128kbps MP3. However, recently I just started changing my collection to FLAC, and there is almost no noticeable difference with BBe or without BBE for FLAC.

This is a fantastic thread! Just out of curiosity how much money you spent on all the headphones! Probably cost more than my house!   After reading it, I think i'm going to go with either HD800 or the HE Audio Jade or the LCD 2. Thanks a bunch!
