Reverse Re-shelling - Is it possible to turn CIEM into Universal
Jan 13, 2016 at 1:50 AM Post #2 of 4
Interesting idea, I don't know of any company that offers this service. You can always ask a company that has universal models of their custom IEMs to see if they could do this for you. Most don't offer it simply because it's not popular, you may be able to get a refit for a similar price. Lol.

Do note that doing such a conversion will result in a change in sound due to seal changes to the ear as well as changes in the sizes of nozzles, ports, etc. and driver positioning.

There is one company offering what you are looking for, the name of which I cannot mention as it is banned in this forum.

Thank you! I have also contacted Stephen from UM. He said they are able to do the universal + upgrade. I am sending in my Jh16pro for him to upgrade it to a "Roxanne" universal. I am hoping that turning out well.
