How do these compare to Verums 1? Especially in terms of soundstage

Btw I get volume increase on Burson even when Lokius is fed thru RCAs. I'm just getting double volume increase if both XLR in and process toggle are active.

Has anyone else had volume increase when EQ toggle on? I only has this thing w Burson Soloist. All other amps are flat on that toggle

I have unbalanced ABY switch w 1/4 in/outs but was thinking about getting one with 4pin xlr. So far I was unable to find such product and my idea is to use 3 in 1 out 3pin XLR switch like this...

Actually Burson is louder about 6db when I switch from RCA to XLR and then another +6db when I turn EQ switch on. Monolith gets +6 boost when I switch from RCA to XLR but not when I turn on EQ switch.

Yes looks like this is the reason. Schiit is XLR connected to both.

I have Lokius hooked to Burson Soloist 3XP and Monolith THX AAA. When I turn on Schiit, there's significant increase in volume on Burson, while Monolith does not feel it. Both have high input impedance, and I can not understand why Burson feels Lokius as a preamp?

I just received Ares 2, plugged into Win PC, installed driver and lost volume control thru Windows. Just like it always operate in ASIO mode, even tho it is not. I can control volume within apps like Foobar or Qubuz, but no Windows native control with their driver. Any idea on how to fix that?

And that's the reason, HD820 has no gaps except incomplete seal, but that depends on a head shape. Mine is not exactly rectangular so some leakage is there, I'm waiting for Dekoni sheeps to see if that will seal better, not that I need better seal, mostly for scientific purposes. TH900 doesnt...

My wife is married to owner of both HD820 and TH900. And she says that Fostex leaks far more than 820 even with stock pads and incomplete seal. TH900 is really a semi closed despite closed looks. edit about HD820, there's no competition in terms of soundstage for closed backs and for that part...
